I’m glad your brother is alive. Maybe it’s my life, when I hear “sad news” and then a person is mentioned lately, it’s been a death or family falling apart.
Boundaries for the win. All the best to Jason, and much appreciation for his work. Loved his videos and will be good to see him again when he has time. Very stoked you will be proceeding. Absolutely love the Liminal Spaces channel, one of the best channels on UA-cam. Your recent 'The King in Yellow' series is thoughtful, interesting, inspiring, and overall book review excellence. Your deep dives are awesome. Have you ever read 'Beyond Apollo' by Barry Malzberg?
I started your first King in Yellow video, then stopped a few moments in to read it myself. It was so good and I loved watching your videos after! I'd always meant to read it, but you definitely sold me.
I like both, your's and Jason's contributions. But I think it's a good idea, if he's too busy to do it regularly, to have him occasionally do reviews of the movie version of a book you reviewed. I liked how y'all did that with Lathe of Heaven. So yeah. Good idea.
Aw man! I always thought the balance of content between you and Jason was so great. Still excited to follow the channel though, and hoping the best for both of you. Hope he knows how appreciated he is for his videos!!!
Oh thank god, I thought the worst there (being me, esp when his pic flashed up) - ah Jason will be missed but the channel's in your more-than-capable hands Chris, plus you've got Virgil, Ira and co to call on for backup :) I love Carmilla, amazed nobody's made a proper film adaptation yet. I've mentioned it before but I used to live in the village where Le Fanu grew up - Chapelizod in Dublin, Ireland. Lots of streets etc named after him. It's still a pretty evocative/spooky place, esp when there's heavy mist on the river. Bought my 1st Lieber book recently, "The Big Time", during a visit to Maine, looking forward to reading it (I got a loads of great vintage SF books there, and no SK lol). Oh man I gave up on the "Annihilation" trilogy after the 3rd - rocky writing is right.
If you enjoyed "Carmilla", I recommend you check out a few other early works about Vampires. The Gothic Wanderer blog entry entitled "Dracula and The Vengeful Female Vampire of French Literature" has an excellent list.
Did Jason at least get a cool job, like in acting or local theatre ? It would be horrible to hear he had to leave to go work at the sawmill or something.
I'm sorry that Jason won't be making regular videos anymore, and wish him good luck on his endeavors. Looking forward to your future videos!
I always saw Jason as a film Yang, to Chris and his book Ying.
Glad he not sick or ill. Best wishes Jason.
Best wishes to your brother! Keep the the workload to a comfortable level so you don't get burnout...
I’m glad your brother is alive.

no you’re right, i thought it was something worse. sad for the channel but not irl thankfully.
Thanks Jason! You'll be missed 😥

Sending much love to Jason. Y'all rock!
This channel rules !! We all love the channel !!
Hope things go well during the channel transition
His insights will be missed, loved and still love your guys vids and thanks for exposing me to authors I would not have found on my own.
I will miss Jason's videos. But I'm sure you will keep up the great content!. Hopefully the increased work means increased rewards.
I wish Jason the best in whatever he's working on now!
the bookshelf in order of vids youve made is pretty cool
Well, thats not the worst reason for leaving. Congrats to the both of you for the bigger work load, lol.
Best of luck to your brother. The channel will remain in good hands with you though!
totally into all the king in yellow & its related history - more of that 🎉
Hey hey, big thanks to Jason and also to you! You make excellent videos. I bought The Dream Master thanks to you
all the best to you and your brother
What I like about your channel is you are one of the very, very few book tuber who is real for us truly lover of readers of book.

"Rebecca" by Daphne DuMaurier is great! I think it's safe to consider it a Gothic tale.
Aw man! I always thought the balance of content between you and Jason was so great. Still excited to follow the channel though, and hoping the best for both of you. Hope he knows how appreciated he is for his videos!!!
“The Damned Thing” and “One of the Missing” are two of my favorite non-“Owl Creek” Ambrose Bierce stories.
I'm glad Jason is okay. I was worried for a second. This is a great channel.
RIP Jason. You will be missed.
Good luck, Jason! Really enjoy the channel. 👍🏼
Bummer that Jason wont be around as much. I loved his views on cinema related topics. Looking forward to maybe seeing him pop in every now and then.
Good-bye Jason, good luck with your future endeavours!
I agree, for sure, that Rebecca is in the horror genera. Subtle, but far more horror than romance. Conjure Wife! It has been so long...
i’ll miss the movie stuff, but you are here for us thanks as always🎉
Jason will be missed! Good luck to him!
I read That Damn Thing by Bierce and it reminded me heavily of Lovecraft. Invisible monsters are always fun.
From one small book-adjacent youtuber to another, I think the important thing is not to get discouraged and just keep talking about the books we love.
Looking forward to seeing Jason any time in the future. Loved his reviews.
The "Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" was also a Twilight Zone episode. Best of luck to Jason!
be safe you guys
Thank you to Jason for the videos, hope the new job goes well and you can drop a video every now and then.
Sorry Jason wont be around as regularly. Glad he wont be gone completely. Some great reads in October.
Is "The King in Yellow" by Ambrose Bierce or Robert W. Chambers?
Jason: Liminal Spaces Emeritus.
The owl creek story was a twilight zone episode
Have you got to Leiber's 'Our Lady of Darkness' yet? I think that's his best work.
🤔👍
Wow you read a lot of stuff! How do you do it? I am curious to know about your reading routine and all 😊

anybody seen the movie adaptation of "we have always lived in the castle"? how does it compare to the book?
Did Jason at least get a cool job, like in acting or local theatre ? It would be horrible to hear he had to leave to go work at the sawmill or something.
Phonetically, it’s pronounced “Doo-more-eee-ay”
Video title plus that intro was a bad combo.
