Charles Evans paints the entrance to Alnmouth Beach in Northumberland. This time its in acrylics, step by step so you can replicate it yourselves with ease.
I spent a lot of my childhood summer holidays in this part of Northumberland at Seaton Point near Boulmer, Alnmouth and Alnwick. I loved the beach and spent many hours in the rock pools. Loved this painting and your great wisdom. Thankyou for the painting and reliving the many wonderful memories. Xx 🥰🏴
I have followed you now for a couple of decades, and you never cease to provide excellent tutorials with good humour. Thank you Charles and all the best.
Charles, I started painting in watercolours in 94 after watching your series on television. Now that I have recently taken up acrylics, here you are again helping me. For all these years, you have been such a great inspiration to me and I am sure to many, many more. Thank you so much.
I enjoy all of your paintings, they have helped me a lot. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I especially love your watercolors, you make it look so easy!!!
Charles an absolutely beautiful acrylic painting of Alnmouth Beach - less is more - lovely limited colours - I feel like I can step onto the sand and head down to the water. Thanks. Caz.
HI Charles ..More Acrylic paintings Please love the way you go at it ...I started in watercolor ... but now i only paint in acrylic and i love what you can do in them...Love all your paintings Great job
Hi Charles, Peter from Aus. Watercolour is my go but you have shown me a new way. Just hope I can go back to watercolour after seeing light being added in your methods. Thanks PB.
Im a beginner and this reminds me of south france, ive just done it and it turned out absolutely incredible!!! Thank you so much for putting these tutorials ❤❤❤
Thank you so very much. I learnt a lot from this demonstration. I love your watercolours. Didn't know that you also do acrylics. I too use Winsor & Newton paints and brushes. This acrylic painting is really beautiful. Full of sunshine. I just want to run down there and go paddle in the sea... You really made it look alive and meaningful. Thank you for a stunning video.
Good to see you on here Charles. Bought your books years ago which helped me so much during my BA arts course. You taught me ‘not to be afraid and to loosen up when painting. But one thing; even though I can now paint, Incan not for the life of me, pain bread! Your little bread sheep! My husband and I have a real good laugh about it because no matter how you show how to achieve your sheep, mine still to this day look like aliens! :)) Keep up the good work.
Love your watercolor videos,I have never tried acrylics, maybe I should give it a try, looks easier than watercolors ,like that it cleans up easy too.I wished you posted more videos.😀
Thank you Charles, you explain very well, like your watercolor videos. I feel like i have in mind the freedom i see in what you can do, but i'm not able to do when i go to the canvas or the paper. I've started painting in 2014, i'm new in this world but i feel free in my mind but stopped by something when i go practice. But i still believe that practice will help me with this point.. all the people told me that, my Kung Fu master believe in practice a lot. Actually i paint as an hobby but i dream it can become my job one day. You're inspiring. Thank you very much, i'm subscribed to your channel :). My best regards
It's a pleasure mr. Evans and thank you for you're gentle expert words. I forgot to tell you that i like this painting a lot and your sympathy in speaking. Lot of fun watching your videos! Bye
Superb picture Charles..I did this one myself, and it looks absolutely superb. I didn't have Naples yellow, so I made a brighter sand colour with bright yellow and yellow ochre...worked very well. Do you have a Facebook group? Anyway, your tutorials are really good, well explained and quite easy to follow. I also have a few of your books, I including Acrylics for the Absolute Beginner. Well worth buying, and extremely informative! Thank you once again. Regards...David
@@charlesevans7706 oh reply, how nice! :) its amazing to have all help with new hobby when you are stuck at home and I love your humor! :D painting tomorrow for sure!
Wow is that a painting or what, brilliant thanks for putting it up, Paul Walsh .ireland .ps what size canvas did you use for that painting please ,i want to have go thank you.
its crazy how on small very small canvas I learned with acrylics. then didn't like it when I tried on bigger canvases so I went to oil painting I love oil ...but then I started to like the look of acrylics on ocean paintings. I'm a newbie have so much to learn been learning a lot the last 2 years but if you're a newbie and then stop for 2 months you tend to forget some things ... but for Christmas I got bigger tubes of acrylics. I'm doing your painting now ... but changing it up a little because i screwed up a little im watching your other video of the ocean going to start now ... can you tell me how to mix viridian green? but determined to complete a painting
@@charlesevans7706 I stumbled upon mixing mars black and cad. yellow together to make a nice dark green. I use it for my first layer of trees, etc. Seems to work well.
