Installing a large decal - Hinged method

- This video shows how to install a larger decal such as our 16" and larger Zombie Outbreak emblems, as well as the chainlink fence window decals, and rear window "Zombie Outbreak Resposne Team" decals. It can be used with any larger decal, and makes them a lot easier to line up and apply smoothly.
For your information, I send a link of this video to all my customers for them to learn how to apply their decal to their car. Not only is it the best method, but also because during your demonstration, a section didn't stick, and you had to pause, and go back. This happens all the time in the real world. Im a professional wrapper & die cut installer ... That was a little too much tape. Over all to be honest one of the better amatur videos I've seen ... 🤔 I should start a UA-cam channel & really give professional advice on installation
great video, I've been doing signs and graphics forever. A very good practice to do and I ALWAYS do this is to anytime you open up one side, tack it down with a piece of tape " always". All it takes is for it to flip over and your toast, wind like you're dealing with will do this. Just good practice to do and will save you.
Not beating you up by any means, just been doing this for a very long time and I work alone.

When you tore the paper off u left little particles that got stuck on
Under the sticker . Next time cut it and run your finger across the cut to take off any debris before you lay the sticker on top of it
Fold or cut but dont tear !! paper fibre will ruin the fit
I tried your "tear" technique and was using black vinyl,but using a reverse design on clear glass to nobody could pick the vinyl off. Tiny paper bits got stuck on the vinyl ,which I tried to cover with black magic marker... didn't work. Had to scrap the entire project and start new. Scissors are worth the trouble.
Terri Robbins, i install Graphics and wraps for a living and if you use the “tear” method then you have to leave enough paper backing to fold the torn edge under, crease the fold with your finger, then lay the vinyl down as he shows. Scissors might scrape the surface but a better tool is one of those pull across letter openers with the blade inside the plastic.

@@mtryder2001 a simple piece of tape will protect the finish while you cut with scissors. but put another piece on the backside so the tape does not stick to the finish. no unwanted glue
