I really enjoy your videos and this one was very interesting for price comparisons.
The bike review was great and I hope you get the chance to do more reviews of relevant things!
Take care!
We have an ALLPOWER power band and solar panel to review very soon.
That site you stayed on recently ( Bike review) was the old White Rose site before the club took it over. We used to go there regularly in the mid eighties. Stayed there for a complete season once( Van left on pitch) £400 inc.of electric just shows how much times have changed! Enjoying your channel. Atb.
Cheers Paul,
Yes it's a nice site with a really nice down to earth pub just down the road (The Locomotive). They even allow you to order takeaway meals and supply plates etc when they are not serving food!
Site fees are ridiculously high especially CLs that think they can charge £25 a night with just elsan and water...
Hi folks, I’m so glad you’re back on the road, I just felt the Narrowboat wasn’t right, I did try it myself and to be honest, it wasn’t what I expected. The costing is really interesting, I always found sites here in the UK to be expensive and would try to stay at CL sites, but even these seem to increased fees. To put things into perspective a little, costs here have increased significantly, my energy costs take a huge chunk of my pension ! heaven knows what will come in the budget, keep well
Thanks David
We've seen CL sites at £25 a night without the extra facilities like showers being provided. It's getting ridiculous campared with what is available in Europe.
We are seriously looking at a Portugal Visa to allow us to stay more in Europe (Schengen zone)
Great video Steve and Wendy take no notice of the negative comments it’s non of there business what you get sent
Unfortunately nothing is cheap anymore good luck in your search for a bigger motor home
Thank you Martin. I feel sorry for the people that have nothing better to do than to complain about us getting stuff free while they don't.
it's all go though and I appreciate the views, even from complainers :)
I think your video of the bike was excellent and I unstand it help you has you said. I do not unstand people who have ago about this if people don't like watching the video of you show item do not watch them keep will and look forward to your next video. See you next time
Cheers Alan, much appreciated.
Great vlog with really useful info. Please ignore the scroats calling you scroungers. They're idiots and a bit jealous. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot to know that you found the vlog helpful. I agree with ignoring the idiots. Haters gonna Hate! so let them get on with it :)
A video that would be good if you haven't already done one. The cost of living comparison between living on a NB and a MH.
Sounds like a plan 😀
I think people are fed up with all the reviews being put out ( ie ) bikes energy drinks and now food (stay fresh)
If people don’t want to see reviews all they have to do is just don’t watch them
Yes, it's a bit annoying for some I guess. However, the "influencer marketing" is the best value for money. Clearly the £998 e-bike we were given costs the manufacturers far less and maybe as little at £200 which is a serious bargain for an "evergreen" marketing video which over time will get a great many views.
Beautiful
Thanks for that...
@@TheHappyTravellers welcome sir how are you
Wy are you selling the van?
You obviously sold the boat - must have missed that vid !
I-m in Brighton site for October if you are visiting.
Hi Stuart,
Yes we sold the boat in June 2024 just before setting off to Sweden. We really did not get on with the boat and so have decided to return to full time van life.
The Carabus is just too compact for full time van life. It's been an excellent van for the last (almost) 4 years and has not let us down once.
The reason for selling the van is that we need a bigger van with more space. We've decided that the Comanche sized van is maybe too big but we'll need to have a serious look at what's available.
Hi guys, have you tbought about lithium batteries and decent charging system in your new van, apologies if youve already touched on this in previous vids, all the best to you both, take care 👍
Thanks Christopher, The plan is that we leave a good amount of our budget for a proper upgrade to the electrical.
I like the look of the FogStar "The Beast" lithium battery, 600amh for less that £1500. match that up with plenty of solar, a 50amp dc-dc charger (or 2) and good inverter / charger (victorn multiplus II - 12/120 3Kva).
That should allow us to manage without hookup for all but the most extreme situations.
Excellent. ❤. How’s the Campervan search going? ❤. We are going to upgrade ours. Very exciting ❤
Motorhome search is stressful and exhausting. BUT we might have found the one (for now...)
Good luck with your upgrade :)
@@TheHappyTravellers oh that’s great look forward to seeing it
Test drive this afternoon then we will collect 1st week on November if the drive goes well 👍😀😎
OMG Steve I do like your videos but can you get to the point a bit quicker
LOL, I'm well known for talking a lot. I'll try to do better in these videos :)
@@TheHappyTravellers
No!!
@retro423
How rude!!
No don't Steve, continue to do what you do. We like your videos.
Have you sold your canal boat thanks for your videos
Yep, soal the boat in June just before we went to Sweden. Now we've returned to full time nav life we need a van with more space.
See you next time 🤗
Thanks Angela :) hope you are well and your land thing is going well.
@@TheHappyTravellers they seem to be ignoring me atm, it’s been 6 weeks since I sent my last letter (I forgot to make it time sensitive), but no news is good news as they say.
Thanks for the cost of living in the Uk in your van. We do find europe cheaper to live the cost of campsites are cheaper .we are off to Spain in November . Hows the search for the new van going ?
All the negative comments you get ignore the idiots 😎👌 x
Hey Dawn,
Iyt's certainly more to be in the UK that Europe but I think overall when we average out over the year it's a pretty low cost way of life.
Our van search is stressful and exhausting but I think we _may_ have found one :)
Our plan is to go to Portugal, starting our trip in late December and back as usual late March 2025 :)
Hope you have a lovely time in Spain. Maybe our paths will cross one of these days :)
That's great news Steve you have hopefully found your motorhome a big desition when you are living full time .
We are hoping to go along to Portugal from Spain yoy never no we might meet along the way on our winter trips. Or when you are in Brighton .
Hope Pippin is doing well 🙏 😎x
Yes Pippin is improving 👍😀😎
Enjoyed the video, but don't take any notice of keyboard warriors. that's social society
Look after number 1 👍
Thanks Mark,
Yes the people who are always ready to criticise don't have a clue. Still I feel sorry for them that all they have is "complaining". I wish then Happiness :)
