Thank you CC. I never knew these details about Fenton company and the artists. Great interview. As an independent artist I've come to have a deep respect for the talent and creativity of other artists. You truly have a gift from heaven above.
I have a duck in the same color blue as the vase in the end off your video. The paint is coming off it as well. At least now i know why. Thanks for all the info. Love, Love, LOVE your videos ❤
So, not to insult any artist at all! I was wondering if everyone still considers a fenton piece, painted by a Non-Fenton artist, still considered a "Fenton decorated piece" it's a bit hard to get my meaning out this way in text. But, I have had some "heated friendly" debates on this subject, as there are so many talented artist that have painted some amazing pieces and were never employed by the Fenton co. but, I have heard a few people say, it is not as valuable or they wouldn't buy it, as it wouldn't be authentic. Kinda like people that say Fenton pressed by Mosser is just Mosser, not Fenton. Mercy! This has been an ongoing debate lol. Just my personal opinion, I love it all! Beautiful Glass, is Beautiful Glass! I am a Fenton Collector for 26yrs, I own other glass as well, to me, if the mold is Fenton, it's Fenton pressed by...
Thank you so much for this comment and for watching! So your question is “Is Fenton Glass decorated by an artist who didn’t work at the factory still Fenton”. Whew 🥵😂. The glass of course is Fenton, however, Fenton glass can absolutely be painted by independent artists such as Vicki Curren, Ann Fenton, Lisa Van Es, and others. None of those ladies worked at Fenton but do absolutely beautiful work. I personally own several pieces from these artists and I am buying the art just as much as I’m buying the Fenton glass. My personal opinion is like yours, if it’s pretty it’s pretty and I want it. lol there are of course always going to be purists who will never buy it and to them I say good more for me 😂. There’s also glass collectors who won’t buy painted glass at all, says it ruins good glass. It’s all just a matter of opinions and desires. Don’t let anyone persuade you into not buying something if you like it, because in the end, that’s what matters. Hope this answered your question. 😊

Could you please link your video where you go see the Fenton cutlet? I can’t seem to find it. Thanks!
I’m sorry, I can’t remember what video that is. I know Becky did one on her channel Vintage Viking Treasures but I’m not sure which it is.
