I think the MALE LEAD was AWESOME! The scene where he falls to his knees and lets out his ANQUISHED SCREAMS may be the MOST COMMITTED Acting I have ever seen... Again... my opinion..l
The scene where the lead screams in anguish at Godzilla after seeing Noriko after blast is one of the best , emotionally delivered scenes I’ve witnessed.
The roadshow of Godzilla -1.0 and -1.0/C in US ended today, with the final weekend box office came back up 4th. For your information, the overall theatrical opening started last December. While the conventional media and Hollywood are quietly nabbing this brilliant film, the real audiences and grassroots net reviewers have proven the real colours shining! Hail the king of all monsters and the anti-disaster response team! Oh, of course, a zillion kudos to YAMAZAKI Takahi!!!
I know I'm 5 months late to your review, enjoyed your review, it's really good considering all the other toho Godzilla we've had. All the different era's and such. On a side note how in the hell do you get your awesome posters in the back to stay on the wall?
The whole thing was (the human part) about the male lead and he was awesome!! Also the supporting cast were awesome as well. If he seemed a little stiff it was because his caricature was dealing with PSTD . Everyone deals with it differently. 😢😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
hmmm ... it's interesting to me ... the main character's name, Shikishima, is a really ancient name for the country ... so when people in the movie cry his name, they are literally screaming " Japan, Japan " ... the ending seems very sad to me ... when you see Hamabe Minami's radiation scar, you know she will die.
Saw it three times. Twice in color, one time "-C" Brilliant film. I agree with the others. Shikishima's stiffness was the shame, the anger, and the fear he was battling, along with his survivor's guilt. I also agree this channel is under-subbed.
The lead character has PTSD and he's filled with feelings of guilt and shame. I don't think a person in his position would be Mr. Personality...

Started in the last week of November but yeah this film was amazing, automatically amazing
I wish I had known about Godzilla Minus One Minus Color. Seeing it in black and white would be awesome.
only 27 subs???? Underrated channel
2:42 Thank you for your contribution to the meme machine
I understand your take on the main actor, but I feel he played his part pretty realistically.
Shikishima being stiff is Shikishima being japanese.
4:01 end it right there and the whole angry Godzilla community would be right outside your house

Best movie ALL year. But I agree with you about Shikishima’s acting being overly soapy at times. But it is overall a WONDERFUL movie!!
Ill never watch this movie. When we talk you can discribe it to me in great detail
You don’t know what you’re missing
How about just watch it.
why?
Chinese & Korean don't like Japan's old history
? That is just sad. Watch it. It is soooo good
This movie is Takashi Yamazaki.

The lead actor is playing a strong PTSD. Basicall, he is dead inside. No room for emotions... that is beginning for his character arc.
Godzilla minus one sucks big time some one please fired the creator of this new film so we real Godzilla fans can enjoy the real Godzilla image
Underated channel
This movie was amazing. I can’t wait for Toho to make more Godzilla movies🤩
I really hope he makes more
