First time listened to this audio. Mashaallah another brilliantly sung ghazal. Mehdi Hassan was and is a true legend and will remain in the listeners hearts for ever.

What a joke! Ghulam Ali Sahab is nowhere near Shahenshah-e-ghazal Ustad Mehdi Hassan Khan Sahab and Ghulam Ali khan Sahab himself will agree with that. NOBODY can sing ghazals like Ustad Mehdi Hassan Khan Sahab and that’s a fact.
Very difficult to understand and copy the aalaap used by sir in different Gazal , in different way , at different point of time . Taking the audience with him , was his great art . Salute to sir . 🧢 🎉❤
There is no diubt that the singing is sublime, but ustad mehdi hasan unfortunately completely botched the poetry of this beautiful ghazal. The essence of the ghazal is not singing only. The poetry of the ghazal and the raag are the two main pillars of ghazal singing.
