I'm one who absolutely loves the 12 valve. That being said, for the cost...realistically I could buy a brand new crew cab Cummins 4x4 with warranty. For the money, I'd rather have the option with more to offer.
This is pretty much what I was looking for. What would you think it would take or cost to change that silver belly white and make a solid white truck out of it. Looked like the door jams were all white so I am thinking it would be a easy change.
That's what you don't understand they are pre emissions deisels so they are worth more because they won't leave you stranded the 12 valve is a 2 million mile engine lifetime engine
@@rileyfindley7207 I know that, my grandpa has a 12 valve. If your new truck is leaving you stranded either something is terribly wrong on your part or there’s some other problem. A 1996 is not putting out the same power as a new diesel. I’m just saying that if you drop 40 grand on a 1996, you’re a dumbass.
@@rileyfindley7207 Just being pre-emissions doesn't mean it's indestructible or that it lasts forever. It's a 25 year old vehicle. In its time, stuff wears out and deteriorates. You gotta spend money to keep all that stuff up to date. At least with the new one, you have a warranty and 25 years of youth over the old thing, which likely has been sitting for most of its life. The old one is expensive because it novel and nostalgic, not because its particle or has functional value.
this is my dream truck, but i would not pay damn near 40k for this. realistically the highest any sane person should go is like 25k or a little over that, but no more than 30.
39,800.00!!!!!!!!!! (hope nobody around me can smell what I just did because I saw the price) Ok one last one tonight... NADA: High Retail 11,700.00 (but I couldn't get a mileage add) I wanted to give them a fighting chance due to not be able to add mileage, so I went and got the NADA for the exact same truck with 40,000 mile, (here is the kicker) that was 10 years newer ( a 2006 model with 40k miles and auto trans) NADA: High Retail on a 2006 H.O.Diesel 40k miles and auto trans.... Drum Roll.... : 20,475.00 So between NADA and this listing price there is a 28,100.00 price difference, that is a 71% increase in value. Must be the shiny two tone paint and the husky floor mats.
Lol, $40K for a truck built like a fucking tin can (I owned a '97 12-valve) just because it has a good engine under the hood... You guys don't ever show the under side or the engine bay of any of the trucks you sell at these ridiculous prices in your videos OR on your website...that's not sketchy as hell or anything.... 40K miles?...yeah sure. Sad part is some fool will pay you asking price because they believe the idiots on the forms who convinced them every emissions truck is a ticking time bomb (they're not) and that 12-valves are indestructible gods (they're not)... Ten years ago this truck would be worth less than $10K lol.
$40,000 you guys are out of your damn mind
Sadly they're actually probably not. The truck will sell.
I bought that same truck brand new in 94 for $23,000. Lol. The good ole days.
You can get a new one for that much
@@immortal7.3lw85 Well, count inflation, that's $40,000.
@@austin2791 Bullshit, they are crazy
Nice to know I can flip one of those for about 35k profit. Just got roll the speedometer back...which isn’t hard to do.. and probably what you guys do
No shit it’s what they do, anyone with a brain stem should know this is their motive
These are all decent trucks, but too pricey
What a bad ass truck!👌👌

I'm guessing you can finance the entire amount with poor credit.
