@MrMelodiousThunk -you can make the reeds hit the covers, but it is easy to avoid this, and it does not happen with the special "attack" that is necessary in order to play the real low keys. It took me a lot of practice with lower and lower harps, to get the bends etc. It helps to start the notes a little before actually playing them.....
Hey Rupert, man you make that low tone sound super enchanting! I'm eager to buy my first low tuned harmonica and wondering which key you'd recommend? I'd like to go as low as possible while still being playable, bendable and versatile for many types of music. I've got a standard C and want to have a low tone to round out my two harmonica arsenal :)
These harps are amazing, and so is Rupert. He personally made my experience with seydel easy and fantastic. I will never purchase harmonica equipment from anyone else.
Tons of very good lessons right here. Try Liam Ward or Tomlin Lecke. The LLF is sort of for advanced folks. Try doing some simple Hutta hutta rhythm on the deep side. In and out. Relax and breathe the music. Don't fight. harptabs.com has tons of tabs.

love the LLF tone. i do have a marine band low f myself, starting to learn. its fun.
