I wanted to learn Rock. My Instructor made me learn Country first. Then introduced me to his Friend. A 5 foot nothing old black Man. His name. Grady Williams. He introduced himself as Shady Grady. He told me the Blues had a baby and they named it Rock n Roll. At the time I had no idea what he meant and had no idea that was a Muddy Waters classic. I fell deeply in Love with the Blues and I Mastered it. I regained my vision and asked about Rock again. I didn’t realize that all the technics I learned in Blues Classes was nothing but Rock. I was able it instantly play Rock but I had Blues influence and infusion. Ben Eason and Grady William made me one hell of a Guitarist. They are both gone now. I have guitars named after both of them. They are my Legends and Legends NEVER Die. And I thank them both. The tube amp is warming up. And the Strat and Les Paul’s are out of the cases. Just broke the seal on a half gallon of Buffalo Trace. Tonight. Gentleman we play the Blues in a dimly lit smoke filled room its to Honor to you both. Thank you both. I wish you could all join in tonight. But yall are here in Spirit because Spirits is all we are and all we will ever be. Raise your glass. Now let’s Blues till we pass out or to dawns early light or what ever comes first. Enjoy my Friends.
