Hastings Diesels Class 201 Thumper Rail Tour on the Mid-Kent and Brighton Main Lines - 06/01/24

Video: A compilation of the Hastings Diesels Ltd Class 201 'Thumper' unit (1001) seen on 'The Surrey Hills Surprise' rail tour on both the Mid-Kent Line (Hayes Line) and on the Brighton Main Line. Firstly its seen passing through both Ladywell and Catford Bridge stations heading to Hayes and London Blackfriars, then later on its seen passing Coulsdon South and arriving/reversing at Redhill heading to Guildford and back down to Hastings.

Nice one. I filmed it at Tonbridge, outbound. Others caught it, like yourself, in reverse, which is good to see, distinguishable by the different shape of yellow marking on each end. I dont know the railway terms, but good to see it again. I rode it on another tour, around Kent and Sussex branch lines, Isle of Grain, Newhaven Marine ect I recall, maybe ten years back. 👍💯🇬🇧🌧
