Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, she sounds so intelligent and very aware of herself and her surroundings, so refreshing. Same about Hazel too, such a good interview.
I absolutely adore Natalie Dormer. As someone on the internet said "Natalie Dormer smiles like she knows exactly when the world is going to end." Love her.
It's incredible how she can speak to anyone literally like they're her good friend with nice and easy conversation that isn't cheesy or forced. Such a wonderful thing to watch.
I was truly captivated by this, I agree completely with what you were both saying, and it's actually inspirational to see two great women just being rather brilliant in a short video
I was so delighted to hear what Natalie Dormer was saying about not defining female characters by the experiences that are uniquely female, but rather by focusing on the shared things that make us human. As a writer, but also as a woman who doesn't aspire to the traditional things expected of a woman, I'm loving seeing more and more stories that don't inevitably end in having kids or getting married. Not that there is anything wrong with those, but they simply aren't applicable to all women, and it's such a relief coming across a character that speaks to you personally.
ChewingSand Thank you! I've really been enjoying your interviews, I really respect how thoughtful your questions are, and your perspective on things. I look forward to the next one!
This was so interesting and relevant! Flowed so naturally unlike so many press interviews that are awkward and stunted, that I have to stop watching half way through because the cringe factor just gets too much.
Really enjoyed this. I think Tipsy Talk works well as an interview format, because while I'm interested in cinema and television I'm rarely inclined to click on an interview video, but when it's a Tipsy Talk video instead it's just like watching another fun chat but with someone you know less well next to you, and in this case with deeper conversation.
See this is proper youtube content! Good for you Hazel for not doing a dumb challenge with the celebs and actually having an intellectual conversation!
Thanks for appreciating the effort! Nothing wrong with the odd bit of fluff, but I love that I have an audience who actually enjoy intellectual content too 😊
Wow, a very rich interview. I couldn't agree more on what you were saying about the women roles. You both seem to be on the same wavelength. I honestly loved this, Hazel. Well done :D xx
+Anastacia Louise She has such a great vocabulary. "There's a vernacular and a currency there, that we can understand each other.." That's two wonderful words that concisely describe exactly what she is wanting to express, and they seem to come so naturally. I love to see that element of the verbose in people.
As long as we didn't make eye contact. I'd think that my dropped jaw and bugged out eyes might put her off her topic. Or not. She's probably been distracted by the best.
Hazel has a WONDERFUL talent for being friendly and genuine with these well-known actors! never seems forced, never awkward-- they sound like friends having a chat.
This was so brilliant to watch. I've seen some interviews that are so painfully awkward to watch but this was great, The conversation flowed really easily and seemed really natural, and I'm glad you were able to talk about more serious/deep topics without losing the fun vibe. So well done. Plus I love both your accents!
Utter delight to watch two people who just have so much passion and enthusiasm for the creative industry chat so warmly like friends. This is how interviews are done!
It's often weird when UA-camrs do interviews, because they either are quite bad at interviewing or they try too much to make it look like a collab and the guest doesn't seem to feel comfortable. You, Hazel Hayes-you brilliant woman, on the other hand managed to make a video that looks so relaxed and natural whilst asking the relevant questions and getting interesting answers! Thank you for this great video!
This was so brilliant and inspiring. Love when interviews are intelligent and also humorous, well done Hazel you absolutely smashed it out of the park xxx
That was a great interview, Hazel!! Not the standard crap you see on TV interview. It was intelligent and had some depth to it. Very enjoyable to hear from one of my favorite actors, too!! Natalie Dormer has been a favorite of mine since she did The Tudors and an Agatha Christie episode. She always brings something very unique to her roles. Thanks for a most eloquent interview!
You're both so articulate and I found it really inspiring to see two great women talking about making films as well as you did! Also kudos to you Hazel for being so cool in front of Natalie Dormer, I probably would have melted. Lovely video :)
This is such a great interview! I love that you got into the nitty gritty of filmmaking with the questions, it made this so much more interesting and you can tell Natalie really enjoyed talking about it all.
I wish there was more content like this around youtube. It was lovely to see you talk in such an enriching manner, Hazel this one was one of your best Tipsy Talks, and you could definitely see that there was a connection when talking to Natalie. Very well done!!
You are such a spectacular interviewer! I love the questions you ask and how comfortable you make the interview, it seems so casual but professional and genuinely interesting and just everything an interview should be.
Two of my favourite inspiring ladies talking about some really powerful stuff. The reason I watch UA-cam is for videos like this! Keep doing what you're doing Hazel :)
This was so nice to watch, two of my favourite inspirational ladies discussing interesting topics. Thank you both for this, also wow you got to hang out with Natalie Dormer, how freaking cool is that.
Hazel, it is incredible how naturally this comes to you. Perfect questions, perfect rapport, perfect tone - it's a different genre of interviewing, to be sure, but reminds me of the ease and originality of some of my favorite hosts like Craig Ferguson and Graham Norton. Brilliant job - looking forward to future interviews!
It's inspiring to see two articulate and smart women having a talk with a glass of champagne. Congratulations on your videos Hazel. I have been subscribed for a while now and you are one of the few people I watch every videos of. It's lovely to see you grow (and your channel with it) while still staying true to yourself and your beliefs.
This is one of those rare videos that I watch as soon as they come into my sub box rather than putting them in my watch later for a week. Honestly cant believe this even happened, the pictures of her with jack killed me and now this?? too much
great to see women talking about the media industry, I study media production and these discussions are so important. Also great tipsy talk as always hazel :)
I always get the sense that the people you interview find your questions so refreshing and interesting to answer! I'm not the best with words but all of your videos are so intelligent and I absolutely love them. You are VERY good at your job, the passion you have really shows. :)
Oh Hazel, this was such an amazing interview, and it's really lovely to see how you've developed even just in interviewing. No doubt that the lovely Natalie Dormer being so eloquent and interesting certainly made it a very entertaining and insightful interview. Never commented on a video before ngl don't know how to end it um just props to you i guess x
i saw this in my subscription box and my eyes lit up and i involuntarily started waving my arms around. I'm so excited. this looks like the makings of a perfect video!!!
Such lovely and empowering women talking about such lovely and empowering achievements/issues! Loved this interview particularly...very natural yet captivating xxx
Honestly, from all the interviewers I've seen, Hazel keeps being the best. She's just so down to earth, genuinly interested in the film en the wellbeing of the person she is interviewing. Just props for all of it Hazel, I love these videos.
I love this and I loved how Natalie spoke so eloquently and how you were so brilliant interviewing her. Psychological thrillers are my fave so definitely will see both films discussed! X
Tipsy talk aren't usually like interviews, at least I don't feel that they are, but this one was like a really lovely mix. I think it was really refreshing to see an interview with a famous woman conducted like this, I think the focus and atmosphere was great. And I loved the kinds of things you talked about, meaningful subjects. Truly brilliant, thank you Hazel!
Please please PLEASE make tipsy talks more often, especially with jack. I love you both so much and I think tipsy talk is such an interesting series; I never get bored of it. Thank you for making my day Hazel!! :D
I loved this so much! It flowed and you guys were being so like real on camera and especially highlighting the continual strive to be better in the film industry both behind and in front of the camera was just great. Kudos to you girl! 👏🏾
I love how naturally the interview/talk flowed in this. You're truly amazing at this, and as much as having someone as charismatic as Natalie helped it takes two to make a thing go right.
I love her posé in interviews talking to someone like she's known them for along time that's the one thing out of many things that I like about natalie dormer she's so polite and willing to start a conversation ILY natalie! 😊❤️
Two wonderful women! And Hazel, can I just say, you truly are very good at giving interviews. You always engage with your subjects so naturally. Well done
wow! 2 intelligent beautiful some-hazel this really gripped me and I'm thrilled this is out there for younger women or teens to view and see and aspire to there was nothing like this when I was growing up and seeing two strong women chatting and exploring life, work and experiences is a true treasure xxx lots of love xxx
I really love this interview (as well as all the other interviews Hazel has already done). She's doing a great job asking serious and interesting questions, yet at the same time it feels as if you're watching two good friends just having a really good conversation. Well, I can't wait for all the interviews that are still to come ! :))
In Sicario it wasnt denis villeneuve's decision to make her a woman. She was a female all along, but the screenwriter taylor sheridan was pressured very hard in the developing phase by the studio to make that character a male.
Natalie Dormer is seriously an inspiration. She's an incredible actress but also intelligent and so put together. I was so captured by this video. She is so articulate and wonderful to listen to.
I love the effortless flow of the interview! It is so professional, the questions were very insightful and the topics discussed very engaging/interesting/relevant! Very fun and pleasant to watch thx :)
This was glorious, Hazel - it's so hard for me to sit through interviews without cringing, but this was so natural and interesting I could've watched another hour.
i find it really funny that tipsy talk ranges so much. You have Tipsy Talks where you're both off your face, sitting on the floor in bad lighting, and ones like this, where everything fancy, you're in a dress, drinking champagne and having a sophisticated chat about film fucking love it, well done Hazel, honestly this was one of my favourite tipsy talks :)
I adore how brilliantly articulate and eloquent Natalie is.
I was thinking the exact same thing! She's just amazing let's face it.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, she sounds so intelligent and very aware of herself and her surroundings, so refreshing. Same about Hazel too, such a good interview.
+BeyondBrii I totally agree !
totally agree!! these things make her even more beautiful and attractive to me! What a WOMAN
I absolutely adore Natalie Dormer. As someone on the internet said "Natalie Dormer smiles like she knows exactly when the world is going to end." Love her.
Just chatting to Natalie Dormer, as you do
Standard
It's incredible how she can speak to anyone literally like they're her good friend with nice and easy conversation that isn't cheesy or forced. Such a wonderful thing to watch.
She's so hot I'm going to cry
Natalie is cute too
+Ysa Mol smooth af
+Ysa Mol eyyyyyy
+MegaCrazykoala why?
+MegaCrazykoala the hell?
This is like the most seamless, easy going but at the same time deep interview ever.
SO MUCH ENVY FOR THIS INTERVIEW! But what a brilliant pairing. Girl crushes!
NATASHA!!
I was truly captivated by this, I agree completely with what you were both saying, and it's actually inspirational to see two great women just being rather brilliant in a short video
Such a lovely comment. Thank you!
Couldn't agree more!
+isabel diaz exactly !
Natalie Dormer is so well spoken, articulate and lovely sounding! She sounds like such a great person to have an in-depth conversation with :)
Omri I think I read somewhere that she almost went to Cambridge university
@@th3mightyeagle417
Yes, Wikipedia.
@@th3mightyeagle417
Correct...
But Natalie failed something, as in why she ended up went to Dramatic Art School...

+Lexi H Well said!
ChewingSand Thank you! I've really been enjoying your interviews, I really respect how thoughtful your questions are, and your perspective on things. I look forward to the next one!
I don't understand why she was nervous with Amy Schumer but not Queen Natalie
i love hazel's interviews, they seem so natural; just like a normal conversation
This is heavily cut, I just noticed 3 cuts in one sentence. Nothing natural about this sadly.
This was so interesting and relevant! Flowed so naturally unlike so many press interviews that are awkward and stunted, that I have to stop watching half way through because the cringe factor just gets too much.

This was such a fun conversation to watch. You two are both so well-spoken! :)
Dude, you're highkey getting some amazing guests for Tipsy Talk now!! Natalie, Sophie Turner, and now Margot Robbie omg
Natalie is absolutely delightful (as are you obvs) this conversation was so interesting and engaging to watch! X
See this is proper youtube content! Good for you Hazel for not doing a dumb challenge with the celebs and actually having an intellectual conversation!

Oh my gosh, Hazel, you lucky little thing! You have the best job ever.
1:09 HER LAUGH IS BEAUTIFUL TOO UGH
This was so natural it was as if you guys forgot the camera was there
I'm a simple woman. I see a video with Natalie Dormer in it, I hit the like button.
+Rebecca Daniels Totally fair.
ChewingSand Hazel omg you replied
Woah Hazel! Look at you getting in with all the celebs! This is awesome!
Shhhh... Don't let them know I'm not supposed to be here ;)
+ChewingSand Oh okay! ;)
Barely sipped the glasses, it ain't tipsy enough! But still an interesting conversation!
Loved this video! You have this quality of making an interview seem like a nice chat which is so lovely to watch
Tipsy Talk with Maisie Williams? Please?
Lol she's not old enough to drink yet
Alan Young she is old enough to drink in the uk
Lol yeah she is, this is the UK, not the USA. Drinking age is 18 in the UK.
When she said pouring for Amy I thought she meant Winehouse, which made more sense to me.
This was so so nice to watch. The conversation was wonderful and I agree wholeheartedly with the change the John to Jane idea.
I absolutely loved this Hazel, the conversation between you two seemed so natural.
God DAMN Hazel this was brilliant! I loved every single question you asked and the overall fluidity of the conversation was flawless. Great job!
This was so brilliant to watch. I've seen some interviews that are so painfully awkward to watch but this was great,

This was one of the best interviews that I've seen
Loving how immaculately Natalie dodged the GoT question, regarding Marjorie's return.

Natalie Dormer makes me question my sexuality tbh

The content of your conversation and the fluency of your viewpoints was so fabulous! What a lovely Tipsy Talk!
can't wait for your inevitable talk show
I wish I was as eloquent as Hazel, oh my God, I'd just shit my pants and cry if I was talking to Nat Dormer.
I just got a mental image of that and laughed a lot!
+ChewingSand I'm so glad I made you laugh!
Oh Hazel, this was such an amazing interview, and it's really lovely to see how you've developed even just in interviewing. This is a fabulous video. Covering all the best points, but not getting too weird and deep. I dig it. You two are superb.
I love how naturally the interview/talk flowed in this. You're truly amazing at this, and as much as having someone as charismatic as Natalie helped it takes two to make a thing go right.
Lovely video, brilliant and inspirational conversation between two great women.

Omg, Hazel, look at you all professional! I wouldn't have been able to get two coherent words out to her!!
I love these interview, you always keep tipsy talk so natural and yet so entertaining.
