I actually thinks this a nice game. local multiplayer, so great to play with my son and wife. nice to see nice graphics and not really pixel "retro". does every game on the VCS needs a retro style? can't we have nice platformers, etc, that not needing to be PS5 level, don't need to be so darn basic? Love the system though.
I had fun with this game but I think it's lacking in single player content. It was very fun for what it was. But I do wish it had a more fleshed out campaign mode
Thanks for the video. This game is probably one I'll skip, but I always look forward to seeing your reviews, even for the games I don't end up playing.
Need to point it out: Hudson Soft's trademark for Bomberman in Europe was registered as "Dyna Blaster" (two words) and BBG's trademark is for "Dynablaster" (one word). They didn't acquire this from anyone, they registered it from scratch. It's not so much that the Bomberman IP is split so much as BBG is banking on people being wowed by the fun fact of Bomberman being called Dyna Blaster in Europe for a brief time and then selling something with a very similar name. I've yet to see more people digging into this though.
Very interesting! I looked into it prior to writing the script but didn't get much info other than it being called dyna blaster in Europe. Guess I am not surprised they aren't licensed...
@@MockduckPlaysGames I found it once by looking it up on Global Brand Database. If you've ever heard it said by Tallarico or anyone else that BBG's Dynablaster is from "the original Bomberman developers", there is a very odd partial truth to it. The people at BBG were previously involved with a company called Living Mobile, who did actualy publish some Bomberman phone games in the west before being bought out by Disney, so the people actually do have a very small connection to official Bomberman but the Dynablaster game itself is using a trademark they made from scratch. It's a pretty deep rabbit hole, just like the rest of the Bomberman series.
Just subbed to the channel. Getting my first ever Atari console, an Atari VCS in February, and a 2600+ later on. Love your content!
Great work. The vcs is a great console

Yeah, the VCS has a surprising amount of 3D capability for what it is. We need more 3D games on it.

Shame I can’t buy any new games for some months now and still can’t. Pretty pointless vcs is just a paper weight right now
