10 years ago I was 23, with a 3 yr old (who i think is basically Emmis' age 08/07). Now I'm 33, she's 13, and I have a 6 yr old. I know the feeling! I started watching sometime in the first year of vlogs, I had just moved away from home. I was lonely and dreamed of finding someone and having kids of my own. Shay, glad to see you all back together again and making vlogs. I was on my mission when my sister told me the news about you guys and it definitely shook me to learn that one of my heros had fallen. The fact that you were able pick yourself up and put things back together makes you twice the hero to me now. We all make dumb mistakes and it takes a lot of strength to own up to them and face the consequences like you have.

Remember the vlog where they went to Disneyland with Collette’s sister, and Shay tried to make it seem like the first vlog they did? That was actually the first vlog I ever watched of theirs, and they were the first UA-camrs that I started watching on a regular basis. I’ve watched that vlog so many times, and it never has gotten old!
I’m still not over the fact that they’re back!! In middle school I went through a deep depression and I fell in love with UA-cam. I was always on yt and one of the channels I found was this one! I’m forever grateful. You guys seriously helped me in the toughest times.

With each video I continue to see so many changes in the family and then I realized I subscribed on May 13th 2014, I was 26 and at the time I had a son who was 8. I was in a relationship that I thought was amazing. Now I've just celebrated my 33rd birthday, my son is 15 and I have a daughter who will be 4 on the 18th of January. Her dad is the guy I was in a relationship with in 2014 but sadly that relationship ended up being very toxic so I'm now a solo mother with 2 amazing children. I have been a solo mother for almost 2 years now and although back in 2014 I thought I was so happy and besides failing to conceive everything was great but now I know I wasn't that happy and that I am so much happier now. In the time between 2014 and 2021 I also found out I have a number of health problems which so far are mostly under control now and I lost a lot of weight to get healthier, it is still a battle to continue to get healthy though. So knowing that all of these things changed for me makes me see that everything changes, nothing stays the same but it's usually for the better that things change. So if anyone is reading this, you may think things are bad and will never change but I promise you things do get better.

Don’t ever forget that you’ve not only grown as individuals over the past few years, but as a couple too. It’s been an honour to witness; & a genuine honour to have watched the kids grow into beautiful young adults. I’ve been rewatching some of the LA era vlogs. Before Daxton was even born. It’s crazy comparing and contrasting the old and the new. Watching your videos also remind me of what my life was like during the time I was regularly watching your videos too. It helps me reflect on my own journey. I’m so glad you’re back at it! Lots of happy memories!! Im 28 now. So I’ve always been the in between generation of your family. Too young to really relate to the parenthood aspect, and a little too old to relate to being a kid. I was like 15 or 16 when I started watching. So in a way the kids seem like my younger siblings and the parents seem like older siblings to me. I’m glad I get to look up to one and proud to look down to the others and see how much everyone grows and changes. :)

With each video I continue to see so many changes in the family and then I realized I subscribed on May 13th 2014, I was 26 and at the time I had a son who was 8. I was in a relationship that I thought was amazing. Now I've just celebrated my 33rd birthday, my son is 15 and I have a daughter who will be 4 on the 18th of January. Her dad is the guy I was in a relationship with in 2014 but sadly that relationship ended up being very toxic so I'm now a solo mother with 2 amazing children. I have been a solo mother for almost 2 years now and although back in 2014 I thought I was so happy and besides failing to conceive everything was great but now I know I wasn't that happy and that I am so much happier now. In the time between 2014 and 2021 I also found out I have a number of health problems which so far are mostly under control now and I lost a lot of weight to get healthier, it is still a battle to continue to get healthy though. So knowing that all of these things changed for me makes me see that everything changes, nothing stays the same but it's usually for the better that things change. So if anyone is reading this, you may think things are bad and will never change but I promise you things do get better.
Happy Anniversary you beautiful people. ‘By the skin of your teeth’ or not, you made it & that should be celebrated. Don’t ever forget that you’ve not only grown as individuals over the past few years, but as a couple too. It’s been an honour to witness; & a genuine honour to have watched the kids grow into beautiful young adults.
My nephew is just a year older than Gavin, & I’m very proud to say he joined the army last year as a paratrooper & has been successfully doing his training since September. It’s crazy to think he & Gavin were just young boys of 7-8 year olds when I started watching you all. Time sure has flown :)

One of my fave memories is when Avia didn’t realise the cam was on and said to shay I flirted with sesar (sp?) then realises the cam is on and shay can’t stop laughing!!! She gets so embarrassed 😂
I remember when I was younger I was always jealous of them haha. I always wanted my family to be like them. They were my childhood. Now I'm almost getting my first job with big dreams ahead. Time goes by so fast.

i have honestly been feeling so down in the dumps lately & i know, new year leave the bad vibes in 2020 but sometimes u can’t... & well today i just binged the shaytards and my mood has changed & i feel slightly happier & i thank you guys so much for posting again💙 when you guys first started youtube i was so young & your videos helped me feel as if i were part of your family & it just helped so much & now just rewatching videos it puts a smile to my face. it’s like a family reunion, i love you guys so much! thank you so much
I'm almost 30 & I've only took 2 driving lessons in my life & the ",kids" who don't seem like the kids anymore have passed their driving test 😭

I’ve been rewatching some of the LA era vlogs. Before Daxton was even born. It’s crazy comparing and contrasting the old and the new. Watching your videos also remind me of what my life was like during the time I was regularly watching your videos too. It helps me reflect on my own journey. I’m so glad you’re back at it! Lots of happy memories!!
Im 28 now. So I’ve always been the in between generation of your family. Too young to really relate to the parenthood aspect, and a little too old to relate to being a kid. I was like 15 or 16 when I started watching. So in a way the kids seem like my younger siblings and the parents seem like older siblings to me. I’m glad I get to look up to one and proud to look down to the others and see how much everyone grows and changes. :)

It's scary man... I remember when they were kids... I mean many of you guys are OG's as well but I just... I dunno I came back here after 5 years or so and just started crying, they are all grown up... It's just scary... I wasted my childhood, and it's just weird I watched these kids grow up, dunno how to explain it but it's just odd.

It’s crazy seeing all the kids grown up’! Gavin is 17 and driving! I remember when he was like 12 or 13! Avia took her drivers test I remember when she was like 10 or 11 😳 emmi is a teenager! I remember when she was like 9! Daxton is so big! I remember when he was first born! 🥺 Brock is getting so big too! I remember when he was like 4 🥺 this is such a beautiful family! The shaytards there amazing there the people who keep my life going and to never give up I never stop watching I'm always going through there videos and watching all of them they made all my years way better I'm so happy that I watch them and there just amazing people who help me get through hard stuff I love you guys
I haven't watched you guys since 2011, I got the urge to look you up and it's amazing seeing everyone grown up, it feels really full circle seeing you guys watch an old vlog from back when I last saw you. Words really can't describe, but this experience of being human, it's something shared, isn't it?
