I’m moving THIS WEEKEND as in like TOMORROW we start moving in and we only have until Sunday. The amount of stress I’m feeling is crazy and I’m glad I can relate to someone because pretty much everyone else I know has never moved

I’m packing up my room while I’m listening to this. I’ve lived in this house my entire childhood and have never moved before. Sitting here and looking at my half barren room is strange, but it doesn’t feel bad anymore. Thank you for making this video and talking about your experience!

Just wanted to ask how have you dealt with moving anxiety/home sickness? I’m going away to college soon and the idea makes me so exited but scared that I’ll be violently shaking every night at the thought of not being home. Just want to see how someone who deals with the same problems as me copes. So happy to see you come this far!!! Xo
I'm not Nicole, but I can give some comforting advice i hope?! 😁
For me when I moved out for the first time it was with my boyfriend, but I'm sure I would've had the same anxiety either way. It is a new experience and it likely will bring alot of anxiety especially if your someone like me who already has anxiety, but I'm completely serious when I say that giving it time and allowing yourself to feel whatever you need to, is all it takes and just know that you will adjust at some point and feel comfortable. I saw a therapist at my college after I first moved out and it helped a lot as well, so asking for help and using those kinds of resources is definitely helpful if you find the anxiety is persistent. You kind of have to consistently remind yourself that you are safe and capable of adjusting to this new way of living, and that eventually it will feel like home to you. It doesn't hurt to watch some comfort shows or cook nostalgic food, or bring a pet with you too.

When I was in college, a woman in my dorm told me that she was moving back home. She said she missed being at home: she was a junior. So of course you can move back home, after being away for a while.
Pet sitting/dog walker was one of the, if not the best, job I’ve ever had!! Definitely not a livable wage, but such a fun part time job!
Good for you guys for knowing what is best for your own relationship! Many couples last longer living separately, or at least having their own bedrooms and personal space but can still enjoy sleeping together. Distance and independence truly do make the heart grow fonder. If is easier to get along with people when we don’t live with them no matter how much we love them it’s just the truth. I am so happy to be seeing so many 19-23 year old babes realIzing stuff I didn’t at that age. We healing this generational trauma up in here and realizing things younger and younger 💓🥲 when you don’t succumb to social/family pressure and follow your intuition and choose what is best for yourself you are pathing the way for others to follow suit 💫🧬💫 thank you for demonstrating this to the collective

It's really cool to hear how you and your boyfriend want that independence, but still trust each other with your relationship. My girlfriend and I are dating long-term (26 & 25), but being in a more christian community we see a lot of pressure to get married/move-in quickly, and we're still figuring out what we want.
As the guy, it's harder to focus on timelines when you have others asking you when you're proposing, so thanks for talking about that, it really resonates with me.

When I was filming products reviews I usually said I was in film production and no one questioned it. The "what do you do" question pops up a lot (way more often then I thought). I had to ask the Home Depot paint guy about non-reflective paint because I didn't want my lights to reflect back into my camera 👍🏻). Apparently his nephew is a Twitch streamer so that was cool.
I renoed my studio/closet during pandemic so I had more space to work. It needed to be done and I finally was given time to work on it. My parents helped me because we had to knock out a really warped wall and my dad fixed my wierdass drop ceiling -still a drop ceiling -but now it's pretty. My parents and I also bubbled together so I basically camped out there with my dog while my apartment was a wreck 😂😂😂😂

i lived alone for 2 years in my mid-20s and then my bf and i moved in together. it's nice living with a partner, but i don't regret for a second choosing to wait and experiencing living by myself for a while. i grew a lot and really enjoyed my alone time and making my space my own! enjoy it girlie!!!

Not to be weird but I appreciate you talking about your IBS because I always feel self conscious about it and don't want to bring it up to my doctor but seeing you talk about it casually makes me feel better.
Omg that sleep talking I love. I used to record my sleep all the time but didn't come up with much except the fact I still have restless leg syndrome when I'm fast asleep. Lol
I really wanted to live alone once I graduated high-school, but I ended up staying at my parents for my first couple years of college, then I moved out with my boyfriend. We did it because wanted to, but also mainly for financial reasons and bad family situations. Let me just say, it feels the same as if you were to live alone, at least for me and ill explain lol. I feel like most people are either afraid of living with a significant other or just don't want to because it could mean some of their independence taken away, or having difficulty adjusting to someone else's living style, not feeling comfortable 100% to be yourself at home, etc.
I thought I would have those problems and I was really nervous about moving out because my parents weren't supportive and I did everything alone, but despite all of that its genuinely the best decision I ever made. Even if some of the problems, like difficulty adjusting to each other and feeling comfortable at home, still happened at times, they weren't as bad as I was afraid of and they were really good character and relationship building moments. It seems like you might be missing out on certain experiences that you would other wise have living completely alone, but the cool thing is that at least for me, my boyfriend and I mesh so well together that I feel just as independent and comfortable as if I were to live alone. It doesn't take away any of my 20s experience and I don't feel tied down at all and neither does he, and we never feel uncomfortable. I don't feel like im missing out on anything and infact i think we saved eachother. Since we've moved in together, our mental health has gotten better and we've grown as people and learned so much from eacother. Not that it couldn't have happened if we didn't live together, but theres some certain experiences that really impact uniquely about living together. If there's ever problems we work them out with time and its good to have that kind of experience and build that trust, and if we want alone time its not hard to get or awkward.
I get that for some people they need the extra wait time though and honestly waiting to make big decisions isn't a bad idea at all, or I guess some people never live together and that's cool too. Its just not as scary as it seems, especially if the person you live with is extremely compatible with you. You can still authentically be you with that other person living with you, and if theres a little bit of uncertainty or uncomfortableness at first, it gets worked out and you come out a better version of yourself on the other end. Theres definitely pros and cons to living with someone especially a significant other, but its all about whether you think the pros will out weigh the cons or vice versa.
I'm really glad to see this video though, it's always exciting to see when someone feels comfortable in their own new place and can have a bunch of space to do whatever they want.
Can u post non-touristy places to visit in Philly? Or a good cheap eating guide in Philly?

I recently moved back home to live in my boyfriend's parents house after we lived in our own place for 10 months (almost a year) and we moved back due to how hard I found it financially. Watching this video is so comforting to think that maybe down the track I could also experience living alone the way you are and that's something i've also always wanted for myself. So happy to see you happy and doing well mentally, i can only hope to have that for myself one day after I finish university (australia).
P.S. I'm going back to uni after a gap year and I'm feeling ready and focussed and refreshed to finish my degree and get on this bandwagon on independence ❤❤❤❤
