  • I've put about 200 "engine" hours (and probably close to 400 wearing hours) on my Leatt 8.5 helmet and figured I'd talk about it's safety, ventilation, durability, weight, and looks.

    What's your helmet history?

I started with a couple entry level helmets from Fly and HJC after which I decided to not cheap out anymore and get the best protection possible. So I went to a 6D (also tried a Bell Moto9, but the fit wasn't good), which I still have and use occasionally. Then to a Klim F5, because of it's weight and ventilation, then to then this helmet because I was missing the concussion prevention features of the 6D.
I considered/tried a bunch of others on that didn't fit well or didn't offer the level of protection I was looking for.

@@DmitriyAdv I have 9.5 carbon myself as my first helmet. I like it so far. Have you tried Shoei?

@@tonn333 I have not. In general Shoei helmets tend to not fit my head very well.
