Hi CP, When I have a sale, I call it value village. I want it gone. My last sale covered 6, 6ft tables. 2 long extension ladders, fishing poles, reels, tackle boxes, Cross bow with cade and artows wrought iron tables, the ladders where all carhartt jackets, short sleeve, long sleeve, vests. Seriously I had the coats, lined & unlined 8.00 each, vests 5.00 shirts 3.00. I was putting bundles together , I wanted everything gome. New still packaged mens moisture wicking breifs 3.00 a package, l did't get rich, but it paid for lunch for 5 helpers& myself. Liquids, chips. Bonus everything was sold. I made close to 450.00 not including the lunches. Goal met !!!
I'm feeling a wee bit guilty. I have 2 tool chests, full of high grade craftsman tools. Complete sets, wrenches, sockets, etc. I'm actually going to look them up, I need them gone and being used by someone who needs them. All vintage, all clean. It's a huge job, they're not losing value. They're just be waiting for me. I have several friends who will have first choice & special prices. They were my Dad's. He with God in his forever home. He would want them to be used. Pay it forward!!!!
Some of these people...I'd be tempted to say, "I've noticed that you don't have prices on this stuff that you're selling and tell me to make an offer, but you are offended by offers made after not knowing what you would even want for it." Having a computer there and looking online to try to get as close to the amount as possible that people are selling it for is...ridiculous. I hope they didn't sell a thing that day. I'm also puzzled at people who are "selling something for someone else, but they aren't here yet and I don't know what they want for them." WTF?!? People are nuts.
I really dislike when I go to garage sales and get the response "what do you offer?" and get all offended when you throw out a number. First of all it's a garage sale not an eBay store and why do you not throw a number if you already have something in mind.... Sorry had to rant because I run into these ppl all the time but great video for being super positive, my response would have been different for that guy with the helmets.
I've had the same thing happen to me at sales where they won't give you a price and say make an offer. Almost every time in that situation they want retail prices. I dont even give them offers anymore and just walk away! I can't sell and buy your item at the same time.
Same. I've had people flat out refuse to say a price for something they are trying to sell, it's so bizarre. I just walk away. They must think there's a chance you will offer more than the over the top price they have in mind.

I only sold a few things on ebay to declutter. If someone quotes ebay prices at these sales say "Ok ebay price less fees less postage less labour time to pick up list and post less sell through rate depreciation...there's my offer otherwise see ya 😂" oh and not to mention cost of goods.

I find people think they can just get full eBay value for something at a yard sale. Why would someone pay that wouldn’t they just find a better deal on eBay you have to come down in price it’s a yard sale not an eBay store like the videos man 👍
@@brandonp5019 if I was CP I when he got on his laptop to look up prices I would have pulled out my phone and comped everything myself right in front of him.
J At 13:40 you missed a nice vintage Luxman R-3055 stereo receiver. Goes for about 300-350, if working of course. I deal in vintage and hi-end Audio. Also repair my own electronic equipment. Can't get them all i guess.
the thing that gets me is the yard sale wasn’t designed to get you rich, it’s to get rid of crap fast. if they really want to get their value out of it, that’s what eBay, marketplace and Craigslist is for.
Whenever someone says, "Make me an offer," I smile and politely joke that they dont want me throwing out the first number because it's going to be loooooooow.
I also feel sick for the Luxman and Taylor album. I have been in many situations when checking price of every item is impractical. Considering that guy said that it goes for $50, there was very little reason to question it. Every time, you pull your phone to check a price, you are 30-60 seconds late for the next garage sale. Unless you know ahead of time that it is a desirable brand, you are going to miss it. My absolutely worst experience when trying to negotiate a better price, sometimes wife will call husband to get OK, only to find out that the original price should have been 10x more or they decide not to sell it.
Would you take 30 for the pedal, "no", would you meet me in the middle at 40, lol, that's comedy. Meeting in the middle requires a counter offer which I did no hear from her.
Every time I am out and see high prices I think it should be cheaper. However then I think about myself having a garage sale and probably marking it higher because I know what it’s worth 😂
I’ve been hearing “no” without a counter or anything a lot more than usual, and it’s only the beginning of the season. A lot of these items are ones that will just sit or be donated after the sale too… like an older Netgear router, outdated but still has value. Marked at $20, I offer $15 to be safe and it resells for around $45-$50 so I’m not too far off. “No” like I tried to steal it lol.

Thanks John. First couple of guys seemed pretty cool....then it got a little rougher..lol "Absolutely Not !" Maybe he should have stated a price to begin with. Can't win them all.
That guy wanted to charge so high for that stuff
You always buy some eclectic stuff, but it works out for you. Fun to watch.
Love when ppl say “HUH “, then answer you…huh means, I heard you but I need more time to think.
Hi cinci picker, you should do a tour of your store/workshop :) that would do well
I've had the same thing happen to me at sales where they won't give you a price and say make an offer. Almost every time in that situation they want retail prices. I dont even give them offers anymore and just walk away! I can't sell and buy your item at the same time.
I use that line all the time 😂
Same. I've had people flat out refuse to say a price for something they are trying to sell, it's so bizarre. I just walk away. They must think there's a chance you will offer more than the over the top price they have in mind.
You should of known that he was gonna be expensive when he had a personalized sign on his computer and a laptop, lol
Nice finds John..😍😮 The Goalrilla pads were a homerun especially for $5.00 into $200.00 plus..🤗 Never understand why people don't price the items but flip out when they get an offer..😢 You had a really good day..🎉 Take care..👍❤🔥🤙
I can never understand the people that hate resellers but still watch their videos. But hey if you really wanna hate, boy have I got a channel for you. 😂
I hate what other people do on videos as soon as you ask the seller out loud how much is something other people start showing interest in the stuff your already look at, like just wait your turn. 11:15
“How much would you offer for it?”
“25”
“Absolutely not! I need at least $125 [which I could have just said up front]”
A couple things-more and more people trying to get retail price at yard sales, and FB marketplace. And people get super offended when you send them an offer 20% below or more. It’s like they have no idea they trying to sell items that haven’t sold anywhere online in months 🤦♂️
The light bulb Cubs goes for $15 - $20. I see them at card shows often.
Damn taylor swift red acm 1k-3k on ebay 😮
At this point if you see Taylor Merch it's worth buying it.
I upcharge anyone shopping with a camera lol
the answer to the " make me an offer " is always always $1 bob !! they ALL know what they want, they just want someone to say something higher then they have in mind, once he said " i gotta get atleast a buck twenty five " my response would have been they why not just say that or mark it ?
I love the yellow light bulb from Wrigley Field!!!!!! I don't understand why people don't price anything -
Garage sale items should be priced to be moved. It really isn't the right venue to try to obtain preminum pricing.
Says who? It’s their garage sale. If you don’t like it then get a real job.
@@popme21stop crying nerd. We get it, you're mad you have one of those real jobs. Get a life
Lol its a absolute blessing to get to go to garage sales in the midwest, really east coast in general
I only sold a few things on ebay to declutter. If someone quotes ebay prices at these sales say "Ok ebay price less fees less postage less labour time to pick up list and post less sell through rate depreciation...there's my offer otherwise see ya 😂" oh and not to mention cost of goods.
I’d be interested in that Cubs lightbulb ha. I’m a huge cubs collector. Great video as always.
😳😩 OMG! That Red album boxed is one of the rarest TS finds!! You just missed out on a holy grail, look up the comps on that … or maybe don’t. I’m crying inside that someone had that sitting for $40.😭🫶🏽
I'm crying laughing knowing this idiot thought it was to much money 😂😂😂😂
I find people think they can just get full eBay value for something at a yard sale. Why would someone pay that wouldn’t they just find a better deal on eBay you have to come down in price it’s a yard sale not an eBay store like the videos man 👍
That guy with the swift record 😂 omg what planet is he on!!]
to be fair the Swift album was a promo item that the last one on ebay sold for over 3k.
Asking $30 on a $3,000 item seems like a steal to me…
@@brandonp5019 if I was CP I when he got on his laptop to look up prices I would have pulled out my phone and comped everything myself right in front of him.
How much would you need for the Cubs lightbulb?
Would keep game cases especially if instruction manual there just in csse you find games loose games later. CIB will always get more $$
Titus is the name of my truck…. Jane is the name of a good therapist….
Was this yesterday? Where’s the house you were visiting at the 8 minute mark?! 👀👀
Love your videos..im in cincinnati myself whats best place find garage salea? I check craigslist often not to much there
It’s called a Garage Sale it’s used
If you want EBay prices put it on line
I walk away every time they say let me look it up or what it’s worth
Do you arrive early to every sale?
Whenever someone says, "Make me an offer," I smile and politely joke that they dont want me throwing out the first number because it's going to be loooooooow.
Least you can do is put the thing back yikes
I also feel sick for the Luxman and Taylor album. I have been in many situations when checking price of every item is impractical. Considering that guy said that it goes for $50, there was very little reason to question it. Every time, you pull your phone to check a price, you are 30-60 seconds late for the next garage sale. Unless you know ahead of time that it is a desirable brand, you are going to miss it. My absolutely worst experience when trying to negotiate a better price, sometimes wife will call husband to get OK, only to find out that the original price should have been 10x more or they decide not to sell it.
Why is nobody talking about the album he passed up on that is worth over $3000? Does he still not realize? Oh my gosh.
Lots of comments on the album he passed on, maybe he went back 🤞
Nice video. You had some really nice buys. That last one he didn’t even give you a chance for a deal.
“I make about three grand a year selling on marketplace.” 🤣 If he only knew…
Would you take 30 for the pedal, "no", would you meet me in the middle at 40, lol, that's comedy. Meeting in the middle requires a counter offer which I did no hear from her.
Asking price was 50.
Great Haul!!
Let’s talk about that T. Swift.
Half way through the vid... suuuper excited for the recap, hahahah. Should be a doozy
Every time I am out and see high prices I think it should be cheaper. However then I think about myself having a garage sale and probably marking it higher because I know what it’s worth 😂
I’m going to have a garage sale this weekend and have no idea of the prices on my items
8:49 as soon as I see him checking prices I'm OUT. I wouldn't even talk to him after that.
Where do u carry your camera, is it visible
The guy at the first sale was great!
You missed we sports resort at the video game sale. That wii game sells for like $60-$80 buck
Lol
and the taylor record lol this guy missed alot here
Yup and those helmets, we sell them 300+, I probably would of brought them off his eBay store if he got them tbh
Finding that Goalrilla stuff was crazy. Hope you bought a lottery ticket lol
9:13 nah what are these prices 😭😭. It’s a yard sale not a store
I’m also seeing an increase in people buying return Target and Amazon pallets and holding weekly sales asking 60% of eBay prices.
Yeah, it’s irritating. It’s like people get offended when you make an offer, ridiculous. People are softer compared to 7-10 years ago.
