Like any place it's gonna be what you make it to a degree, but I'd personally agree with what seems to be the majority of MAs I've met in that I'd rather go somewhere else than PRP. I don't know what I can really say beyond that.
I’m actually getting deployed to Bahrain on 20 December and as an E5 are we gonna have to stay off base because that’s when everybody’s been telling me but I’m not exactly sure if that’s true
@ technically I won’t be paid as an E5 until January but yeah, everybody’s been saying that we’re supposed to stay off base in a hotel with other people that we work with
@@brightmanepride You might coincidentally be neighbors with other military but you can just move in anywhere and bring the lease back to base to base to get the OHA straight.
Question if I enlist in the navy and their offering right now a bonus for shipping, but what happens if I don't get the job I want and settle for a different one will I still get the shipping bonus? Is it guaranteed?
Short answer is what you signed on the contract is what's going to happen, as long as you graduate boot camp on time and never get sent back in training for failing tests or events. You can change whatever you want, but once the contract is signed and you have the bonus on the contract, it's set unless you get sent back in training at RTC.
Sup, man. I was honorably discharged from the Navy for a condition not amounting to disability due to some anxiety issues, but I was told I can re-enlist again I believe after 2 years if I choose to do so... I only did 6 months active and quit in A-school. I was in QM A-school but realized I hated it. I want to possibly come back as an MA. But how much sea time do MA's have, because I don't think you guys get any? Also where is the A-School for MA's? Thanks!
MAs can be attached to ships and go underway with them to sea. Usually aircraft carriers. The sea/shore rotation is 3 years of each going back and forth, but since like 80% of our rating is on land, there are shore commands that are listed as sea billets, like Bahrain.
@@HaedenBeck Awesome! I don't really mind SOME sea time, because that's one of the reasons I signed up for the Navy in the first place, but I always liked MA as a rate, and with more shore duty than sea duty, I think it'd be a better fit for me. On top of your long work days, you guys stand watch after hours occasionally? I think MA's get some really heavy work hours.
@@Scarrrz You can expect 12 hour days, same as pretty much everyone. Other ratings can go beyond 12 hours a day but with MAs you're relieved and go home, or back to your rack at least.
im looking for info on going from enlisted mp to officer and cant find much info on the proccess or if thats even a viable career goal.do you have any information?
Sounds like a question for your recruiter but in case someone may have information here, you may want to specify what H/IE is since it's an uncommon acronym.
@@xSol_Raveni mean the guy from my navy liaison just told me that after reviewing my medical history, everything else i passed and he said it’s gonna take maybe a week for them to get back to me 😢

You did a great job making the room better suited to your needs. You have a nice creative streak and you nurtured it into many nice ideas.
i could totally see you as an Enclave MP.
Just got my orders. If you’re still there in September I’ll see you around!
I left already, but we might cross paths someday.
Thanks for the tour. Nice Enclave flag.

If you're being paid as an E-5 you'll receive OHA and live off base.

I’m curious. Would you ever be interested in becoming an RDC or recruiter if you have the chance? You would be a good one.
I would be a terrible recruiter, too honest. RDC would be nice but MAs generally are needed more in the fleet than at RTC. Thanks though.
yo where's haeden, im about to go to bootcamp I need one more video 😂
I'm still here

Do you know what the 1.5 mile chart looks like for the navy? Like what times are considered excellent, good, probationary, etc?
You can look that up or use the official US Navy app to track your score.
@@HaedenBeck Ok thanks
Im going goin there. Is this the barracks for petty officers or students?
This is the barracks room someone E-1 through E-4 can expect. Active duty.
