If you can't get your tv up and running, try a new 50" Amazon Fire TV from Amazon here amzn.to/3HguZCU I've been very impressed with the picture and quality of the Fire TV. it’s a crime how terrible TV’s are nowadays. mine keeps turning on by itself. tried everything out there but nothing works. thanks for the video anyways
Here is how to ACTUALLY fix it: 1. Next to the HDMI port on your Onn. device, you will see a little button. Long press it for 15 - 20 seconds (if your tv turns off by it self, press it a few seconds after your TV turns off.) 2. You will see a menu that you can navegate by pressing the button once. Go to the option "Factory reset/wipe data" (or something like that) 4. Long press on the wipe data/factory reset option and wait until the process is done. 4. After the process is done, navegate with the button again to the "Reboot" option and long press it.
How the hell did your Roku even stay on during that time? Mine cuts off at random points even if I get to system, you obviously don’t have the problem we do
You nailed it, this fixed mine but 1 more issue. How do I get the tv "voice" That says "main menu" , when I come across an ad on UA-cam says "live stream, skip in 5 seconds." Etc etc. Have you had that happen too ?
What about when im unable to click anything and tv homescreen is on but it clicks by itself going crazy jumps to trailers and sometimes channnels unable to work properly...cant even navigate setting.all this when using a working remote? What then😢
I had a similar problem and found a really easy fix, my PlayStation was directly under the middle of the tv where the buttons also are so the tv was sitting on top of the PlayStation pressing buttons...
I watch youtube on my roku tv n after a while itll just turn too homescreen even tho i turned off the timee but it still goes back to homescreen after a few hour long video
These roku tvs are crap. What kind of tv randomly shuts off anyway? I can't even complete the factory reset because the tv shuts off before I can set up the wifi. So it's now stuck at the set up menu. Also i wouldn't be surprised to find out roku intentionally makes their TVs do this at some point in their lifespan to force you to buy another one. If that's true the joke is on roku, I got this tv as a gift and i already got a better replacement.

If my TV stayed on long enough to do that, I wouldn't be watching your video

SAME.. As soon as I get to system options it's cuts off for me.. most times it doesn't stay on that long 😢
Nothing worked; however, thank for trying to assist us. :)

@@Khaxz.0626nothings worked for me either this is so sad because it randomly stopped working while I was watching UA-cam
@@nyxeidseactually the last one helped me and mine was exactly like this. So maybe try it again
Thanks for posting this video! It helped me 😁
I've done everything you've suggested. Unless you can think of anything else, I guess I'm just SOL. 😢

Thanks it helped fix my TV
Mentioning the timer is just an insult for a troubleshooter
That's a budget TV for you. They do experience weird flaws. 😂😂😂
Ay im broke
Even though I didn’t make a response already why are you here? If you’re just gonna say this lol

New remote maybe?
Worked, had a bad flash drive in the usb
I had a similar problem and found a really easy fix, my PlayStation was directly under the middle of the tv where the buttons also are so the tv was sitting on top of the PlayStation pressing buttons...
mine seems to be caused by the remote. If I use the Roku app on my phone as a remote it does not turn off. If I use the remote it turns itself off.
that means the remote needs new batteries, or it could be a faulty button
Or get a new remote if none of that works
Theres a reset button on the back of your tv, hold it down and it will fix the problem that brought you to this video.
Think the problem with mine is the TV tried several ROKU devices and each one cuts off and on when I use the devices on another TV it works
Maybe there's some outside interference for hacking or spyware Etc... maybe Tik Tok has invaded us😅
I watch youtube on my roku tv n after a while itll just turn too homescreen even tho i turned off the timee but it still goes back to homescreen after a few hour long video
I can’t go to the settings cuz as soon as I turn on the tv it will automatically turn off I can’t Even go to the setting
I factory reset mine and it's still turning offf
How do you factory reset?

Yep, returning mine this week. Fing crap.
maybe i should be happy mine only turns off in the middle of the night (i can’t sleep without noise i wake up)
Me too. I just wake up like alarm. I need the random noise. Do not buy Roku.
What's up my people
Just got mine and it just turns on to the Home Screen and then shuts up wth brand new tv
HEY YALL I FIXED THIS PROBLEM. i turned my tv off for a day and switched the power and off sometimes! (lmk if this helped anyone)
Don't understand
What do you mean switch the power on and off
@@ingridacevedo2616 like i unplugged the tv and plugged it back in again
My 85 year old mother is not going to be able to do this
That’s to much bullshit unhooking everything
Best thing to do is never buy an onn tv! They are garbage
