You offer far more guidance on the exact same machine set than my new gym did. Thanks so much for this. :) I always feel conscious not knowing how to adjust the machines, silly I know. This gives me all the information I need.
And I started today, I went on a machine and someone was watching he was a coach and said I was doing it wrong and told me how to do it, it was embarrasing because a couple was watching since they were next to me 😭( it's bad enough that I'm a foreigner in china)
Thank you! This is so helpful. The gym can be very intimidating for a noobie and now I don't have to worry about looking silly trying to fiddle with the equipment.
You're absolutely welcome! The gym can definitely be intimidating at first, but that's totally normal. Here's a secret most people don't know: even experienced gym-goers sometimes need to double-check how to use a machine! It's more about learning and taking things at your own pace. So don't worry about feeling silly - everyone's there to improve their health. Speaking of learning, I actually have a video series on my channel all about proper form for different gym equipment, specifically designed for beginners. It might be a helpful resource for you as you start exploring different machines. Here's the link if you're interested: [Your video link] Would you like to know what some of the benefits are of incorporating both machines and free weights into your workouts?
The gym I'm working at use the exact same brand and machines, and you basically cover all of them with a detailed explanation. This is a very nice video and thank you so much!!
This video is a great starting point, especially for someone new like you. What part of the gym were you most interested in trying out? (Cardio machines, weight machines, free weights?) If you let me know, I might be able to recommend some resources or answer any specific questions you have! It can feel overwhelming at first, but don't hesitate to ask for help - most gyms have trainers who are happy to assist beginners. Remember, everyone starts somewhere, and the most important thing is to focus on progress, not perfection!
@@BeFitnomenal I've been using machines and CrossFit type stuff but if the gym isn't crowded I'll go to the free weights. I recently got a copy of Starting Strength and am going to start going in at 5am when it's just me and a few other guys.
This video is great. I signed up at a gym 4 weeks ago and started out with cardio machines. I just tried a couple of weight machines and they're not as intimidating as they first appear. Thanks for posting!
I just got a gym membership like 12 hours ago. I went there tonight a little bit before it closed and it was crowded. I only know how to use like 5 strength machines so it was awkward having to wait around all the time for people. This video is so so helpful. I'll be able to use a lot more machines now :) Thank you!

Anna Geach im 5 foot. Stand to grab, then pull it down to chest level as you sit. once seated you should have a good grip on it and be able to perform your sets without standing.
Thanks for this video I felt so embarrassed as It was my first time going to a gym in my university and I didn't know how to work any of the weight training machines.. This video helped a lot, thanks
