you are overusing the water reservoir, it sais using above 100% therefore it will drain and eventually go empty. its better to spread the water extracting over multiple reservoirs or just pump from the rivers( which is cheaper anyway :) )

You've gotta draw the off-Ramp of the Highway in after you upgraded it to a merging lane. The other way round, you come up with a winki wonki lane which diverges from the outa lane, but is centered to the middle lane(40:28)

Mail just goes nuts when your city gets bigger and you have cargo stations and a cargo port (they bring in insane amounts of mail). the postal service issue seems to be that the cargo harbour and terminal keeps hoarding resources and doesn't deliver it fast enough and one of the things it hoards is 'local mail.' don't think the mail trucks have access to the mail stored within the cargo storages and it just stays stuck there and the pops just get madder and madder as time moves on.

Are you sure that mailbox coverage overlapping post office is bug, and not intended? I would imagine the vans that office sends out will go and empty the mailboxes that people of the area can use to send mail. Or atleast that's how it works where I live (Finland, home of CO).
I second a few comments I've seen on post offices. People will travel to the post office or to the mail boxes (i assume), not sure the coverage doubling up is a bug
I figure out that the Mail problem in my City was that the Post Offices only work locally inside your City, you need to build the next biger building for outside City mail (post sorting or something like that) at least it fixes the problem for me. I hope this help someone
Be careful when you get rid of parking on streets that you give people enough parking lots. Low parking leads to a ton of "looking for spots" traffic >.< Oh and I've found in heavy pedestrian/traffic areas that I have to eliminate crosswalks and make pedestrian over/under crossings so traffic can keep moving. Otherwise people crossing will slow up turning traffic.
I've just noticed that there is a suitability for the types of zoned housing, when u click on them the road color changes. Maybe that is supposed to help with keep rent at the right price? Great series Biffa! Loving the content! I was thinking it would be so nice if they would make the parking lots zone like their farming/ore industry. Maybe an idea for a mod? Keep it up, I’m loving the new game so far!
for postal services, you really only need one building for a huge section of city. I put 2 or 3 mail boxes per neighborhood on side streets. I then put a post sorting facility near my highway connection to collect mail from the post offices and send it outside the city or to whatever local post office for delivery to local residences and businesses.
Biffa. Really enjoying this series and your positivity about the new game. It is running great for me. I have it on game pass for PC. Love the name Kettlebridge as there is a wee village near my hometown in Scotland called Kettlebridge, along with Kingskettle. Just one question, where did you get the large circular fountain from?
The traffic at higher pops is broke. I constantly get cars cutting off lines off traffic to cut in front of an entrire lane of traffic. Like all cars use both lanes, but then they all decide to immediately change lanes at the same spot cutting in front of another lane. It seems worse than cs1
Pretty sure your train depot isn't doing anything including spawning a train because you don't have 2 of the single tracks coming from the large building connected and I believe that's where the trains are made/spawn.
in the menu under communication, just click the open letter symbol. Then you can place individual mailboxes around your city for postal trucks to pick up.
Im pretty sure that you don't need the post office to cover the area but the mailboxes will do the coverage and just a couple offices to have the trucks to get the mail from the boxes.
I'm really liking this new series (ended up buying the game with your link Biffa!) For the elementary/high schools, why not make the two small roads into a single one-way road? :) Happy to see the devs working on optimizing the game :) I don't know if this will help anyone, but you can also go into your GPU settings and customises how it handles CS2.
Hey Biffa, about the Post Sorting Facility. I had one of those and it did the same thing as yours but then I checked it after a while (not sure how long) and it had started working randomly. I don't know if there's something that triggered it but maybe just leave it switched on and check back with it every now and then. Just wondering what happens if you make a roundabout the same way as we did in cs1?? Do they act any differently to the dedicated roundabouts in the game or the cs1 ones??
You can still make a roundabout out of one way roads or highways, it's quite simple to do although like in cities 1 they will not stay round once you start intersecting them unless you place your nodes carefully. The main reason I think you would want to do this is to create zoning on roundabouts, but unless they're very large you're usually only going to get one building per side and often none at all. They're also more flexible, you can make the squares, triangles or any other kind of shape as you need it. You can also make large roundabouts without unlocking them with your milestones. If you're limited on space, the roundabout tool is definitely the way to go but it's useful to have the option. In terms of traffic AI there doesn't seem to be any difference, they'll use either kind without any trouble. It's easier to make them in CS2 than CS1, but the roundabout tool works for most situations so usually if I build my own it's for aesthetics. You need to make your own if you want to create retaining walls along one side for example.
@@SineN0mine3 Well, you need to be a bit careful with manual roundabouts. With bigger streets attached they'll get traffic lights and I think they have priority the wrong way around (people coming into the roundabout might have priority over people in the roundabout, which can lead to clogging). Of course, those are the same problems you'd have ins CS1 without mods. But of course, having some big square-abouts around a city block or two is always an option.
I haven't finished watching the video yet, altho I tried the new patch and discovered that now I need to fill my city with Elementary schools in order to make up for the demand lol
In my experience you want a post box nearly every block. There's no down sides and they should not be spaced out. As long as the game gives you exp for the placement, that placement is useful.
I noticed since the patch dropped that my commercial demand is always through the roof. Even putting the commercial taxes at 30% is not bringing it down at all. Completly crazy!
Hey Biffa, love the series! However please don't keep accepting sponsors from Instant Gaming, I tried to use it and had some issues. Ex.: They told me AFTER payment they require photo ID for some reason. It turns out they are not an authorized distributor and may have stolen the keys? So buyers beware.
As sad as it is that you had issues there, that's anecdotal evidence only and doesn't mean they're overall bad. Stating such things as fact when they are not is likely to count as libel. Since Biffa is openly collaborating with them AND with Collossal Order, I'd think CO would inform Biffa if IG was selling stolen keys and ask him to stop advertising them. Since they didn't, there probably isn't any criminal issue here. So, feel free to state your issues, but don't make big assumptions around them.
@@lukasr5867 Sure, but I asked Paradox support directly and they said IG wasn't an authorized distributor. Not assuming malucious intent--no proof--but they are not authorized.
You can diactivate Chirper notifications in Options - Interface - Chirper Popups. Also, you can remove all un-needed crosswalks when adding smaller roads.
I went with settings from someone’s vid and. Normal zoom in I average 60fps using ryzen 7 7800 and rx 7600. Not at the top specs req but near there with my setup. All in all, those wanting more, higher fps in a city builder is crazy. 60 to 90 are just fine.
maybe you could build an "old town" with a wall surrounding it. but the wall shouldn't enclose everything. just keep "historic" pieces of the wall and maybe a big collector road where the wall "used to be" just an interesting thought when i saw the big retaining wall. we have a town where i live that is, as mentioned.
Nice to see the Spencer Croft district coming along nicely! Really like it. I got a few suggestions for this city: 1. I'm thinking the farm area next to the surburbs might wanna be moved away, a sign that urban encroachment is upon it and the farmers have had to move to new pastures. 2. You need a busline to run to the university, so all the Kettlebridge people can reach it with ease! 3. The university grounds should be its own district; and choose another Patreon donator for the name of the grounds and university! 4. If you ever decide to plop the Medieval Castle into the city, why not name it Blightea Castle, in honor of your British city on Cities Skylines 1?
Thank you Auto Shenanigans channel, he covers the real life actual motorways of Britain and has now compared the Intersections/Junctions of Cities Skylines 2 with the large selection of motorway intersections he has covered around the UK. Note: Road Guy Rob and the science of the CFI Intersection.
Curious what your own opinions are on the discourse regarding the simulation issues? Personally I've not seen many problems, other than cims teleporting (which I really hope is a bug not a feature), would love to hear you address some of these as I imagine devs pay more attention to yourself than us! Personally I think the cities feel.quite empty, I think this is because people commute at different times. I think it would be amazing for the game to make cims try and arrive at work almost at the same specific time, this means ones who live further away would have to leave earlier, and travel further (incentivising moving home) and would create real rush hour traffic.
I definitely get rush hours. Every evening and every morning my road interchange gets clogged up. There is definitely more movement at those times, however it seems it depends on your roads if there is good connections it handles it quite easily
@japes7 yea I agree, which is why I don't like the argument that the sim is broken (aside from teleportong cims and known bugs etc). I think personally I would like this to be more severe though. So tweaking the numbers which work the dah shift/night shift/days off etc.

Finally Spring is here
Great series Biffa! Loving the content! I was thinking it would be so nice if they would make the parking lots zone like their farming/ore industry. Maybe an idea for a mod? Keep it up, I’m loving the new game so far!
Thanks for the vid biffa! Loving the city!
for postal services, you really only need one building for a huge section of city. I put 2 or 3 mail boxes per neighborhood on side streets. I then put a post sorting facility near my highway connection to collect mail from the post offices and send it outside the city or to whatever local post office for delivery to local residences and businesses.
That castle will needs its own island.
yes, own island or on top of a mountain.
@@yestesii216Both, both is good.

"Darn you game" Creep me up😂
Love the look of your city, Biffa
It looks very interesting... 😏
Biffa. Really enjoying this series and your positivity about the new game. It is running great for me. I have it on game pass for PC. Love the name Kettlebridge as there is a wee village near my hometown in Scotland called Kettlebridge, along with Kingskettle. Just one question, where did you get the large circular fountain from?
the game is truly in the present a lot of calistenics parks, because calisthenics is a booming trend in the young generation
The traffic at higher pops is broke. I constantly get cars cutting off lines off traffic to cut in front of an entrire lane of traffic. Like all cars use both lanes, but then they all decide to immediately change lanes at the same spot cutting in front of another lane. It seems worse than cs1
To keep the theme you should really refrain from using open parking lots
I love this series keep up the good work
Pretty sure your train depot isn't doing anything including spawning a train because you don't have 2 of the single tracks coming from the large building connected and I believe that's where the trains are made/spawn.
Trains can spawn from any track. The unconnected ones are also only for intra-city trains.
I'm sure the bug with the mail facility will be... sorted. 😎
in the menu under communication, just click the open letter symbol. Then you can place individual mailboxes around your city for postal trucks to pick up.
Your low road budget might effect the coverage of your services (e.g. schools)
We need a bus line to the new university. Poor student without car can't get there
the Roundabouts on the step are halfroundabouts, if i saw that correctly 07:00.
Great series as always, can't wait until we get the assets and mods going.
Same here. Mine is so busy I had to add sorting capacity, but still 0/5 trucks in use.
@@briankito1655 in the menu under communication, just click the open letter symbol. Then you can place individual mailboxes around your city for postal trucks to pick up.
@@briankito1655 Agreed, same thing happened to me. I even built a second one to handle capacity but it had the same issue and hasn't started working yet.
Can definitely still make them, one of the highway junctions in this city has one where the main highway goes underneath it.
Good stuff, thanks! ☕
I haven't finished watching the video yet, altho I tried the new patch and discovered that now I need to fill my city with Elementary schools in order to make up for the demand lol
In my experience you want a post box nearly every block. There's no down sides and they should not be spaced out. As long as the game gives you exp for the placement, that placement is useful.
and check water, is polluted says thats means that something it is polluting it
I noticed since the patch dropped that my commercial demand is always through the roof.
I already ordered 5 times from IG. No issues at all. Shame yours was bad.
@@C17H23NO2 Yeah, your nickname is very trustworthy xD
The Castle should go on its own separate Island and be a tourist attraction.
Maybe with some trams to get people there????
You can diactivate Chirper notifications in Options - Interface - Chirper Popups.
Also, you can remove all un-needed crosswalks when adding smaller roads.
I went with settings from someone’s vid and. Normal zoom in I average 60fps using ryzen 7 7800 and rx 7600. Not at the top specs req but near there with my setup.
All in all, those wanting more, higher fps in a city builder is crazy. 60 to 90 are just fine.
42:08 Where are you seeing pigs with antlers? xD
City is looking lovely 😍 Really enjoying seeing the new assets and how you are working things to do better with keeping people happy!! Great job!!!
Performance really increased a lot. Still wondering if the big amount of commercial demand is a bug. Its off the scale very often. Nice vid, thanks.
maybe you could build an "old town" with a wall surrounding it.
but the wall shouldn't enclose everything. just keep "historic" pieces of the wall and maybe a big collector road where the wall "used to be"
just an interesting thought when i saw the big retaining wall. we have a town where i live that is, as mentioned.
Really enjoying this series
Thankyou.
43:23 - such nostalgia!
I'm Polish and the tittle of this video encouraged me to watch it with passion. Polska gurom!!!!
Super good epizode 😍😍 I enjoyed every single minute 👍👍
Nice to see the Spencer Croft district coming along nicely! Really like it. I got a few suggestions for this city:
Thumbs up to you Biffa and always love the Motorway shenanigans over on his channel. Will Road Guy Rob and Peter Dibble have a dip into Cities Skylines 2 with their wonderful channels.
So tweaking the numbers which work the dah shift/night shift/days off etc.
is it worth putting some low rent housing near the university? as if students are living there. maybe some assets that students would enjoy?
That would be a good idea.
in the menu under communication, just click the open letter symbol. Then you can place individual mailboxes around your city for postal trucks to pick up.
Waiting for a new episode
The observation tower looks a lot like the CN Tower here in Toronto
Could you squeeze a small road behind the row homes for some parking basically, as you remove one side of the road for parking? (I loved this idea, looks so much better and less crowded!).
I love watching your videos Biffa I feel like i learn so much to implement into my city.
Glad you like them! 👍
