For a wolf or any animal to expose their belly is the truest sign of trust.
or submission, not trust.
@@laminarwing depends
Try telling my wife that lol
Nah trust with dogs
Not always for felines
They're actually really cute when they're in "friendly" mode
All domestic dogs descend from wolves and if mankind wanted to we could start the process all over again with today's wolves. Dogs/Wolves are just the coolest creatures in terms of how they relate to mankind.
@Marissa Lopes Incorrect, ''The dog, Canis familiaris, is a direct descendent of the gray wolf, Canis lupus: In other words, dogs as we know them are domesticated wolves.
All modern dogs are descendants of wolves, though this domestication may have happened twice, producing groups of dogs descended from two unique common ancestors.''
Marissa Lopes they do descend from wolves dummy, just not modern ones
Bacon Blast I think that’s what she meant. Dogs are descendants of wolves, but not modern wolves.
Wolves have always been in friendly mode with humans...not so about us with them
"You could lose your hand in his coat" I suspect you could lose your hand in his mouth as well.
I too was expecting another end to that sentence.
Casual Weekday Hilarious!!! 👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾🇳🇬🇺🇸
Lol I thought he was gonna say in the mouth
Not that individual. He submitted. He won't bite. Dogs who show you their bellies will not bite you unless you turn and attack them.
@@AtarahDerek Actually! It depends on the anxiety level of the dog. I have an Austrailian cattle dog with nervous/anxiety issues. She strongly feels she has to be extremely submissive, even when she is not comfortable with a person touching her. She sometimes freaks out because she has exposed herself to (in her mind) a potential enemy and will suddenly make a warning biting motion and run away from the person. She does this quite often and repetitively to some house guests. She's not a bad dog. She's never actually bitten anyone, or even the dogs she has started fights with (her instinct is to nip, not bite); she just has anxiety.
wow the wolf really likes him and not in a hungry kind of way
Super fofo
Matthew Norzan he is sooo lucky!!! i love wolves!!! i want to tuch one sooooooooo bad!!!
His beard his has magical powers.... I am convinced that soft and fuzzy things likes soft and fuzzy things.
Hi Matthew, in my knowledge & living this long, I've found humanity much dangerous & scary than animals ... No pun intended towards nary a one ...
Wolves lick each other's faces to bond and to feel if the other wolf is sick, aggressive, dangerous or anything like it.
They do that to humans as well
„one of the most dangerous predators in the world“
wolf: LLLLLLICK
Yes they are, but just to species which are in their menu. Humans are not included there.
😆
gordon: "in these bitterly cold conditions, it helps to have friends..." *face gets licked*
wolf:shhhh shhhh just enjoy it
HELLO, GORDON !
Him: I need an adult.
@@N2Deep00 wolf: I AM AN ADULT!!!
thats it. I'm moving there now.
rip
I want to move their too XD
No point. There is a hardly any wolves in Scandinavia. Nasty hunters and farmers lobby keep shooting them. You will find a lot more of wolves in Central and eastern Europe
kevin lawrence they MUST
They also want to reintroduce bears, lynx and bison
Gaining the trust and affection of a wolf is is one of the most satisfying accomplishments of my life. Driving 200 mph, 1/2 mile freefall skydiving and all the other "Bucket list" stuff pales compared to a wolf curling up in your lap and falling asleep.
I would imaging having an 80-140 pound wolf in your lap would put your legs to sleep pretty quickly, but it would be worth it
@Nilla actually it would be more surprising if a wolf did try to eat him, the impressive part is getting it to trust you enough that it will let you touch it instead of running away or trying to bite you and feels comfortable sleeping with you close by.
The adrenaline rush, must be crazy.
Hey curt what about that night when you gave Tyson fury a slap for nicking your beer You forget about that
r/iamverybadass
These wolves are so beautiful. The Face and eyes are so special looking.. so loving gorgeous wolves indeed 😍😙😙❤
I'm so jealous of this guys ... Lucky him being surrounded by such awesome noble creatures ...
They've been adapted to having humans around for sure.
2degucitas they have if you listen to the video.
And people say that wolves are unlike dogs. But no they are pretty much like doggies, at least in videos like this:))))) Technically wolves are considered ancestors of dogs. They also behave in a dog-like manner so its so sweet and not surprising at all.:)
Lets be honest Gordon Buchanan is badass. I am surprised he can move with balls that big.
Owen Jones These wolves are habituated to humans. I would love to pet wolves.
I have seen documentaries where he lives far into the arctic circle with a wolf pack before so my previous statement is true haha
Owen Jones That is the best documentary I have ever watched.
I liked the film he made when he tried to survive in the wild. He didn't manage it, but anyway, the bit I was interested in was his reaction to a certain part of the forest where he continually got unnerved and felt someone was watching him. I've felt that before, and I didn't like it at all !
Owen Jones: That says nothing about the size of his testicles or his butt. It shows his patience and kindness, his willingness to endure difficulties and share his positive experiences.
The sweetness of the moment when the wolf rolled on his back to have his belly rubbed, blew me away! What a privilege it must have been to have the wolf trust you enough to expose his underside. I mean, wow, what an honor... I’m so jealous! Lol. This warmed my heart and put a smile on my face. ❤️❤️❤️
Wolves are so beautiful! hunting them should be illegal.
I always thought it was illegal!
So only ugly animals should be allowed to be hunted? XD
@Rod Loucks I doubt they even know what the word ecosystem means.
Pawel Kali like humans for example
@Rod Loucks you mean the same ranchers and farmers that provide food, protein for your dinner table ? You mean the same ranchers and farmers that are protecting their livelihood and investment ? The same wolves are supposed to , and had been for decades until environmentalist upset the natural instincts of the wolves, hunt for prey in the wild, not use the ranchers livlihood as a buffet line ? I'm all for non-lethal means to try and control the situation, but don't blame the ranchers and farmers. And they know alot more about ecosystems than you leftist , soy boy city hacks. You would not last more than a few days doing what they do.
"You have sofas. And, give belly rubs."
Beautiful animals....
That’s so amazing. Most wolfs r mean but I’m beginning to think it’s all in the way u approach them. Licking his face, oh wow. He was so trusting. Animals know when u r scared of them. Just beautiful.
Wolves truly are beautiful creatures.
Wolves are so beautiful and so trusting of this guy.. they sense he is no threat.. when a wolf takes to you .. then your better be on your best behavior 👍😁 stay calm and cool.. I would love to be that close!! What an honor ❣️
Omg they are so cute I can feel my manliness drain from me as I watch more of them.
Wolves add manliness, nothing more manly than snuggling an animal with a bite strong enough to cave in your skull.
@@yamiyomizuki snuggling is the manliest thing a man can do
I love how the wolf shuts him up at the end😂😂😂
The wolf was like : less talking more rubbing
Gorgeous animal! love Gordons nature shows, especially wolf family and me
Wolves domesticated themselves becoming dogs. To their great advantage. I'd like to know more about this pack and how many generations it took them to become friendly with people.
"to their great advantage"
A large number of dog breeds suffer from inevitable predetermined health issues do to excessive selective breeding...take pugs for example, they can hardly breathe and their eyes pop out of their own sockets...how is that an "advantage"?
You are a moron. Domestication is not selective breeding.
@@mitchellhogg4627 that sort of animal breeding is very recent - you can thank for the Victorians for that. The vast majority of our relationship with dogs hasn't involved anywhere near that level of selective breeding - most dogs historically would be considered mongrels.
they just want bellyrubs like everyone else
Beautiful wolves ❤☺
I like that as the wolf licks his face as he's saying "it helps to have friends" like it wants him to know it will be his friend
I want to be him... 😭😢
I LOVE wolfs!! 😍
Absolutely incredible AND beautiful!!!
What a "gifted" interaction courtesy of a very relaxed and confident wolf!!!
Thanks wolf for being so trusting!!!
How honored to have their trust, probably why so many leave the big cities for the wilderness cause you now where you stand with nature.
I had a dog with same looks. He came to me after someone abandoned him, and did all these things to me. One day when I came back from office, he left. I still search him. I don't know how the owner abandoned such a beautiful dog.
Mans best friend.
Sure used to be when we used to hunt with sticks and stones.
@@CapitalTeeth You shut up, they still are and always will be. Nothing compares, no other cross-species relationship is even close to the one humans and canine sub-species share. They sleep with us, protect us, hunt with us, and will die facing down threats against us regardless of size or circumstance. There are seeing eye dogs, firefighter and police dogs, military dogs, hunting dogs, show breeds, and regular all purpose family dogs that we trust around our children. Humans have protected and nurtured canines for thousands of years and they have lived and died beside us the entire time. They deserve the respect and recognition of being a true brother race to human kind. A younger brother, but one not lacking courage or loyalty. Taken as a whole, they are beyond reproach.
@@TheFleeingPhoenix The heck caused you to be so mad? I didn't talk smack about dogs at all. I was talking about wolves.
@@CapitalTeeth I'm not mad I just love dogs.
@@TheFleeingPhoenix "They deserve the respect and recognition of being a true brother race to human kind"
Yeah but we're hypocrites. We say they're man's best friend but then we deliberately put them in harms way when used for military, police work, and hunting. I don't call that respect. That's not something you do to a friend.
How utterly fortunate you are to have such loving wolf friendships. They’re soooooooo much like dogs - a statement of the obvious. He reminds me of my German Shepherd, especially with his affection! I’d enjoy seeing much more of this, that’s why I’m subscribing
Of course he/she wants tummy rubbies!! Even the big cats like them. Too funny and such a precious experience.
Surprise ASMR
Rebecca Silver lol right
Damn cute puppers
What a marvelous specimen those are. So beautiful, yet so menacing. To understand that we are bringing this Natural world down to fit our Industrial needs is but a shame. But no matter, Life has endured worst and our demise won´t mean the Earth´s infinite stories of survival shall end...hopefully.
I wish i was Gordon, wolves are my favourite.
This mate has mastered the animal psychology probably. He is a true professional because he has no room for errors.
I love the way the wolf acts kindly towards Gordon
Gordon Buchanan is a so so lucky to interact with wild wolf so intimately!!!
They're semi wild wolves. Don't try this with any old wolf.
Gordan you are amazing, loved the snow wolfs, the babies beautiful
Such beauty and love, I'm moved every time I watch this. It NEVER gets old
This video makes me miss my Gracie...
She looked EXACTLY like these wolves...I know she was 1/2 wolf & 1/2 German Shepard...
She lived to be right at 18 yrs old...she passed away in her sleep...
I miss her so much she was my best friend
I adore Wolves.
They are my spirit guides..
💖💕👍💞👍👍
Why so afraid to hug the wolf he is begging for it 😍😍😍sooooosweet wow
He sounds and acts just like our wolf. I miss him so much. We raised him from 8 weeks old. 97% wolf with only 3% dog going back 30 years on his grandma's side. Half Mexican and Arctic. The single most GENTLE loving animal EVER. He is definitely not an alpha! lol. We call him the Scooby Doo of wolves. We had to move out of the state very suddenly after my mom died and could not bring him here legally so he remains with other family in the mountains of Southern California but we miss him every single day.
Wonderful wonderful video. BEAUTIFUL.
Thank you so much.
Greetings from Randi in Denmark. 👋🇩🇰💐🐕
