Bastl & Casper Electronics Waver - Eurorack Wavewarping Mixer

- Following the no-input mixer-inspired module Dark Matter, the newest collaboration between Casper Electronics and BASTL Instruments is Waver: an experimental mixer which allows for crossfading, wavefolding, square shaping, ring modulation, and feedback in order to create edgy mixes more than the sum of their inputs.
In this video, the WMD Crater, Intellijel Plonk, and Mutable Instruments Plaits are combined through the Waver. The Waver's impact ranges from warm coloration to explosive wavefolded blasts and biting high end-making for something with considerably greater sonic depth than the average mixer. A Tiptop Echoz rounds out the signal chain, while a Winter Modular Eloquencer and Intellijel Quadrax provide finely-tuned sequencing and control.

god damn it these casper / bastl collabs are making it hard to stick to DIY only. filthy demo as usual
Wow this Melody is pure fire🔥🔥🔥, I love the demos on this channel
Thanks!
Definitely, same here. This is ace!
Dope! That setup looks sooooo fun
Oh I love this - going to have to add it to my modular
Sounds amazing! 😃👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I can't stop watching this. Guess I need one.
This is a sick demo
sounds really good
This is definitely a "must have" in terms of synth!
Really nice!
This super great
Tight.
Holy shit this is amazing! Can you break down what modules are creating what sounds? --edit-- omg the second song too! Take my money damnit! :-)
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have this now, it haven’t installed due to no way of knowing which way to plug in cable. Bastl site has a line on side side of pins, but my actual module has the lines opposite.. and it’s barely a line, no writing... do I go with it and close my eyes when I power up? O_0
It is probably red stripe down, and it looks like there is a reverse polarity protection diode so if you plug it in backwards it probably won't explode. Feel free to contact our customer service for more help figuring out the direction to plug it in.
Perfect Circuit the solid line at the bottom of the socket indicates the polarity of the cable with the red line at the bottom as well. Just FYI all Bastl and Casper circuits are reverse polarity protected so if you plug it in backwards it won’t hurt the circuit. It just won’t turn on (until you correct the polarity).
I'm not sure if modular would be better or worse on my wallet compared to desktop synths. I feel like it would be like snacking and I would eventually get very fat (broke)
is that baseck?
:D
Is Plaits doing the snare?
The snare is from the 2HP snare
