Hi John, I liked your video but tell us, 1. does that little black switch have to face the front or is to the side ok? and 2. is the inside house wall switch supposed to be left in the on or off position?
Your porch light already has a sensor. This bulb already has one internal so when you put the bulb in the two sensors are fighting each other. Replace the porch fixture with one that do not have a sensor. That should solve your problem.
I said in the video that the sensor stopped working years ago (time stamp on the video 15 to 34 seconds is where this is explained). I rewired the light fixture to eliminate the sensor. Being frugal, I did not replace it, it is just wired like a regular light fixture now. The light bulb works in some places really well and really poorly in other locations. Thanks for watching.
Don't feel bad ! I just bought one, and placed it in a bathroom, as an experiment ! That's what brought me here ! I was hoping you had a similar issue, and a fix ! Room has a door, no windows ! Turns on all by itself, day and night ! My bulb is different, in that the only control is for changing Color/ Brightness ! Don't know if it's dirty electricity, or what ? Disappointing so far ! ((( 💡))) ¯\_🥴_/¯ Back to the drawing board ?
Using this type of light bulb is hit or miss, good in one spot and useless in another, thanks for watching. Editing video now about upgrades on a small bathroom, lighting, fan control, and more.

It's too bad that you didn't demonstate it indoors, like a closet, garage, hallway, staircase, etc. Did the instructions not indicate where to and where NOT to place, as in which type of enclosure, or give a troublshooting section? Also, I'm sure it has a 'daylight sensor' also in it to prevent it from coming on during the daytime. IF, it were installed in a postion where the light from another, or even from 'itself' would affect it's operation. Most motions and daylight fixtures, always say this. In your case, each time the light turns on, if it's reflected back at the bulb, the bulb thinks it's daylight and will repeatedly cycle on and off!
Thanks, good video, it would help me if you post how you changed the light fixture.
I will soon
Last Night I found this feit motion detector light is only met to be screwed in facing down or horizontaly, note your new fixture is facing down.
Thanks, I am still using it in the back yard. It works ok, the best place I found was using it in the house. Thanks for watching.

Leave the switch on, and it does not matter where the black switch faces, thank for watching.
Is there any way to turn it on to say on, by double clicking on the wall switch. Like other bulbs do.
No, I just went and checked, Thanks for watching
Is she from the Philippines?
Yes she is, thanks for watching.
Can u use this bulb as a motion light for a hallway?
I don't see why not. I found it worked well inside the house. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the review, I was thinking of getting one.
Glad I could help
I just bought and im having the some what same problem

Good job you have light sensor motion at the garage.
Yes, thanks

The light is still outside in the back yard, works OK. You can turn off the daylight sensor, thanks for watching.
Really ejoyed this John and we have similar homes and your 680 miles away a days drive... great channel please make more videos!
Thanks, will do!
The enclosure. Its ment for inside
Thanks for watching
I bought one too, stays on all the time, never turns off. Non-bueno.
From my testing, the light works really well in some locations and really poorly in others.
@@FRUGALWITHJOHN I think it may have something to do with the light fixture it’s installed in, mine is really small.
I tried one in each light fixture in my garage. Never turned off. Frustrating
@@rhondamlewis9350 same here. Mine never turns off!
