Jennifer welcomes high-school senior and future first-generation college student Dana Bolden from Jackson, MS, who recently made headlines for being awarded over 2.2 million dollars in scholarships from over 50 colleges. Dana feels proud to be able to represent her community and said it is rare to see positive stories coming out of her neighborhood.

I LOVE so MUCH how the dancer mommy knew how to/could *also* do it ALL but set her *own* ego aside in order to let her baby girl SHINE!! I mean, *THAT* is a brilliant good & 100% LOVING mother!
and I love the topics Jennifer brings up! and so, I'm *fascinated* by the thought/concept of the difference between USA English accents! and *not* only regarding cultural effects re: how our brilliant immigrants & their children & grandparents speak? but specifically, how the accents, all across the USA, *do* speak regarding the changes of the eras..the changes over years, as they mentioned. how the people spoke in different ages & eras, how even between the decades changes happened,
and it reminds me of a conversation I had with an American woman who studied languages in Panama. and she mentioned a professor she had who spoke to her students about how - at least in certain parts of the world - how language changes, dramatically, by at least 1% every 100 years.
so, from what I understand, she taught her students certain, very specific details about the languages some of them were studying. I just don't today recall what exact language family she was teaching. but anyway, I learned a few things from her, things to pay attention to whenever learning a new language, guys..that's the cool part!😀🧚🏾♀
