You are right that you have to adapt to your environment. Don't let the environment adapt to you. Because there's no way it's possible. Because it will gradually adjust But if you adapt quickly and become more accepting of it, it will be easier and faster. Because otherwise you will have to move to another place that you think is better. 😊
Thanks for the great honest share ! Hope to meet up and buy you both a beer ! Maybe in Nov if plans stay . Yes, you're so right about the difference between the girls, Thais are pretty wise in that way, and the views about sex itself is different, because of the religious factors too.
Funny. Girls or women seem to be a big part of men's lives. Many times they are expensive or crazy or make their men miserable or ruin them financially.
@@angelocalima6338 It's hard to compare. BGC is like a city within a city, while Bangkok has places that are more like neighborhoods. But the Thong Lor, Phrom Phong, Siam, and Ari areas are really nice.
Krung Thonburi BTS train station to the new Icon Siam Mall is a popular area. Years ago you had to take a ferry to cross the river. Many long time expats bought condos and homes in the area at an affordable rate. These days with the MRT and BTS train, prices have gone up. But, it's still a cool area. It's often times called the Brooklyn of Bangkok. Lots of coffee shops and art. It's a slower pace. Yet, a 20 minute train ride to the busiest parts of Bangkok
Hi JJ. I subscribe, like, comment and share. I'm in BGC now. My first trip ever to the Philippines. I love it! Dreams come true! 😍. I need help re long-term visa please. I used a service here to extend for 30 days. I want 12 months, or, at least 6. This service wants to charge me 50,000 pesos for ONLY 6 months and tells me I can't get 12 months. Is this true? Scam? He also says he needs TWO WEEKS to prepare some required letter. I will call some other visa services. Can you help me with any information or advice? Thanks, Sean
@@seans7228 hi Sean. I'm not familiar with visa services, and I've never heard of a 1 year visa here in the Philippines. You should probably research more, and in the meantime just stay on a tourist visa. You can renew at SM Aura Mall on the 8th floor and do 30 or 60 days at a time up to 36 months. 30 day extensions only cost around 1,300 pesos. Welcome to BGC.
The weather is the only or main negative about SE Asia, though a quick flight to get away is easy too. Though I am definitely spoiled living where I do on Maui 🤙😊.
@@JJthelonelybullinasia No one said paradise is cheap, at least not in the US. But it has the best weather in the world ! But also that's why I'm looking to move to Thailand (best), and visit everywhere from there , either totally retire or at least 50/50 ! Last there in 17/18 , 6wks and overdue and plans for a month from now (if the world allows 😆). And hopefully 7-10days in the PIsl(Baguio (cool), dumagette area, and manila). If not for paying rent while gone and care for my parrot, it would be longer. Next time!

San Miguel beer also has a production factory in Thailand. Its origins belong to the Spaniards. But personally, I like Singha beer more.
Me too
