Asking Bilal! Been listening to your shows for months now and have learnt a lot. Question is. I'm in Florida and I got hurt over a year ago. Of coarse I had to hire a lawyer. Upon doing so I leant I wasn't being paid the correct amount. After two successful mediations and getting paid correct amounts. I'm still owed $130.05. I didn't want to get all petty and get a bunch of high priced people involved again. So while emailing off my mileage reimbursement. I explained to my adjuster the discrepancy. Now I'm all paranoid about having dialog with my adjuster. Without consulting my attorney first. Or by having dialog with the adjuster. It may have created some kind of technicality. Should I have gone the expensive route by getting lawyers involved. Just for $130.05? Or do you not see any issues with me trying to resolve this independently? I look forward to hearing your expertise regarding my situation. Thanks in advance!
I fell off the semi truck trailer at work and sustained a neck and back injury, I've been off work since September 2022, I have been through PT, I've been taking pain medication and the doctor recommended continuing pain management, my attorney said my award will definitely be in the six figures category, what do you think my settlement will be?, thank you.
My employer denied my workers comp claim but I am contesting. I have a supporting QME report and I have been deposed. I also have a civil case pending. If workers comp ends up paying will the settlement be offset against any settlement on the civil case awards that were calculated based on lost past (this happened 2 years ago) and lost potential future earnings?
