One other thing I use a lot against red nukes as a medium who don't use aps turret or have a very good aim, are goo barrels. This only works at a distance and when you see it coming. Throw the goo barrels infront of you to completely block the nuke.

Damage falloff on Lights is the #1 reason they're so weak imo, it starts very near (compared to heavy or medium guns) unless its the LH1 or SR.
Lights cant often get close enough in team scenarios to deal their optimal DPS, so they have to put themselves in danger for optimal play.
I think this is a big reason contributing to HMM or MHH compositions. There should be a conversation about Light falloff. @@ottr

Btw you can also use a Red barrel to counter nuke, just melee it to the direction you want it to go. The explosion will destroy the enemy nuke by it self

as far as i know, the only falloff damage is from the throwing knifes and grenade stuff, no bullets tho
Nah @ottr got it wrong bere and @hodd You have a small confusion here :
- damage falloff affects DAMAGE on long ranges.
- bullet dropoff affects TRAJECTORY
All weapons are hitscan in this game (bullet dropoff is 0%) with the exception of throwing knifes and maybe rpg , and all bullet based guns will have damage falloff. (For example revolver is nerfed on 1.5.5 patch and lewis gun was very good for cheaters in this aspect because they could aim cheat and beam from miles away)
there is dmg falloff, but no bullet travel.
I wont lie, my biggest issue isnt heavies themselves. Its when nukers catch me by surprise. I managed to learn to bait nukes but if they come out of nowhere, i am a free kill. And goddamit there is that one nuke flanker every single damn game
Yeah, and there is also lights invisible killing in one second. What's your point. You never want to be killed by surprise? Or wall hack medium.

I have a lot of fun fighting heavy class, after the rpg nerf that is... But I fricken hate fighting recon corner campers with any class, its just not fun fighting people that pre aim and pre fire almost every engagement Idk how that got past testing.
Rather go against a 3 stack of heavies than 3 stack fcar defibrillator/recon mediums
I thought the same thing until I bumped into a triple stack of heavies spamming c4, rpg,
dome/mesh shield, and flamethrower.
i just don’t get how it makes sense for the build w/ the most health ti have a shield that blocks bullets… someone pls make it make sense
i ONLY play melee heavy in the finals.
the biggest counter, is to justm hit me with a stun gun and not have F tier aim.
i literally CANNOT do anything.
and with melee heavy im coming close to 1.0 wins and 2.0 KDR

As a heavy player, always remember that while we are using the shield we are significantly slower, the best thing you could do when I am walking towards you with the shield up is to reposition either on a little highground or behind cover. If your weapon cannot whip enough burst damage to rapidly bring my shield down just use that "downtime" to find a better spot instead of shooting at me while I am getting closer
that’s bc those guns aren’t very strong right now
Heavys are usually the easiest for me to kill, and i kill them really quickly with this 1 strategy i always use 🤷🏽♂️

There is no such things as high rank as a diamond myself i can say matchmaking is non existent witch mean the top scoreboard player are just the one that play more rather than being the best one

he was talking about the shotgun. damage drop off doesnt exist but if youre at a long distance with a shotgun the spread of the pellets is wider and some will miss resulting in lower damage. if all were to somehow hit it would still do the maximum damage

INDIVIDUAL BULLETS DONT LOSE DAMAGE OVER DISTANCE, BUT SHOTGUN PELLET SPREAD DOES INCREASE SO OVERALL LESS DAMAGE

I dont get light players bitching at this point. I like that it feels the hardest to play. Plus there is enough lights running around as is. Fast classes usually should have higher skill caps.

Most heavy players dont need to be countered because most people who play heavy are either meta abusers or just players who need the extra health. Both types of heavy players are normally not very good. Heavy player's highlights are throwing down a dome shield and holding e to win the game. The first time I played heavy i had charge equipped and i accedentily got my first two kills on heavy by pressing q once. The only heavys that are going to need be countered are pro esports players since any other heavy could make it to diamond by just playing the game long enough. The finals is a joke with how heavy and medium work and it will continue to be until they do something about it.

Heavy is not ridiculously nerfed. You just think it is because you don't see the problem with easily one shoting light and squad wiping people by just chucking a canister at someone.
As a player who wants to kill people and still play the objective, it's impossible when I feel like I am going up against an team of overwatch players keeping their tank up with constant heals and revives. The light class is not bad. It just doesn't fit in a game where you can constantly keep someone up and aim an rpg in the vicinity of a light and kill him. I'm not mad it's just something that needs to either be fixed or else lights will fade out of relevance, and it will all become an over gloriefied version of overwatch.

Literally, the most broken class in the game is the light one, not the heavy one, and the heavy one can be killed quite easily by the other two classes, especially the light one that is buffed.

Guys stfu. Just get good. Theres 3 equally balanced classes. Heavy is super easy to kill if ur light, and if ur medium just support your light/heavy who can kill him
light vs heavy the light will lose. Unless the heavy legit has 0 aim. Atleast in my experience as heavy. When i play light i can kill heavys sometimes but only because they are beyond terrible.
