Brad Wright is actually trying to spin up some more stargate material, and it sounds like Amazon execs are fully on board to make use of their new IP and throw money at a new series. It's kind of frozen for a few months while Amazon gets through all the legal stuff involved in buying MGM, but it sure sounds a whole lot like we'll be getting an Amazon Original Stargate series in a couple of years.
I loved that scene where the lead scientist tries to describe the relay as the Twilight Bark and no one gets it. But as soon as he mentions Lord of the Rings everyone starts nodding.

Each of the characters on this show are so very well defined, and carried out, and one can see the progression as the series went on, the deepening relationships, and storyline etc. I wish there were more. Thanks for uploading!
I loved this series, just like it's predecessor, SG1. Sure, we went from head snakes with delusions of grandeur to space vampires, but what I loved about this series, is that just like it's predecessor, it was wonderfully written and performed.
Miss Stargate but still managed to watch them all again during the lockdown. I don't think anything sc-fi has ever come close since. Wish MGM would let Neflix have a crack at it.
It used to be available on Netflix but the license got pulled/ran out! You can watch SG1 on dish channel 289. Babylon 5, Quantium leap, I’m thinking Sliders is also available too. I really miss the good old days where SyFy was really science fiction and had decent stuff to watch!

Ronan on atlantis on earth in 2009, 10 years later he becomes aquaman, can breath underwater, has super strength, can talk to fish and becomes king of atlantis

Everyone in that room except the general was a scientist. The military looking folks were a science SG team while the folks in lab coats were, well, lab workers. Everyone in that room was also military (Air Force), including the folks in lab coats.
@@davidkelly4210, I don't think so, SG clearly employees civilian scientists, there might be among the uni's science officers but I doubt the ones who sit on mission briefing will be lab workers as usually, those must report to someone.
But imagine what it would have looked like though, they all would have been searched and yet he just keeps pulling knives out of seemingly nowhere and when the door opens he retrieves them all and they just vanish again
I remember seeing the first Stargate season of all. Still brings tears to me to think such a series would become such a permanent part of our history just like so many others.
They still exist and can be watched though, DVD boxed sets are your friendly solution to not losing a series to the mists of time or being held ransom in the bowels of a streaming service
And then they canned it for that rubbish that was SGU! And what made me hate SGU even more was that towards the end of Atlantis the special FX gradually got worse and worse because of SGU draining all the FX budget. And that rubbish didn't last because of its miserable dark tone.

To be fair, the guns ronin had on his home world were pretty similar to the Milky Way humans, and he was a soldier, probably why he’s so good with them in the first clip

ok. it's been long enough. 20 years ago it debuted, and now it's long past time to rewatch. i think i probably still know most of the dialogue by heart.....
One of my favourite tv shows - good sound track too, likeable characters, and of course there is the Wraith - nice looking space vampires, I dig them much more than any frigging "Goauld" crap. SG-U I could not get into - I didn't have the time to follow it, and there fore could not figure it out half the time.
I have to admit, SGU was slow at first (More than half of the first season), but you know it really sped up and got pretty good. When they break the master code; that's when it gets juicy.
***** I hear you friend, I could tell that a lot was put into SG-U I just didn't have the time to really check it out - Then it was cancelled, being the shortest lived of all SG shows. Which sucks because I would have liked to have checked it out - Often the cancelled quick - shows are the best - I really liked the TV show "Enterprise" for example but not enough people did - so they cut it and now there is no more "New" Star Trek" from Paramount.

@@CrzyGazara no civilians in the heart of NORAD HQ. Too many security risks they could be done in less sensitive areas or off sight.

Liked them both. Stargate Atlantis was a newer show and the producers and writers had all of the newest technology for special effects. Great shows.
