Being an Aussie motorcycle reviewer & self confessed petrol head I thoroughly enjoyed this video of one of my childhood heroes, thanks very much for a professional well edited & well narrated video.👍
It’s interesting how the drivers of his era, a mighty dangerous era, are never mentioned by the current fans and pundits when speaking of great drivers. Fangio Brabham Jim Clark Graham Hill Jackie Stewart John Surtees Niki Lauda These days it’s like these guys never existed
The greats, Senna - they've heard of Senna and understandably, but definitely haven't heard of Brabham, who I rate in the top 5 with Senna, Fangio, Clarke, Prost then Brabham
Speaking about dangerous era i met Niki Lauda when he had Lauda Air. I was taken aback how disfigured he was from that acco but a lovely bloke. Got his autograph.
When Jacky Ickx completed his 1969 contract with Brabham, he finished vice-champion, assembling 37 points from two victories and five podiums. whilst Jack Brabham completed that same year with only two podiums and a tally of 14 points that earned him the 10th spot in the world championship... I'd love my co-driver even if a tad too Primadona from an Australian standpoint...or was it just Old Jack suffering a bout of 'matter of sour grapes'? Jean-Louis
had the pleasure of driving with this legend.
