  • Propagating such an expensive plant can be really stressful. Good thing I had help from a neighbor. Featuring a truly lush and gigantic variegated philodendron billietiae that we grew from a single leaf. The philodendron billietiae can really reach epic proportions when allowed to climb and in optimal conditions. We're hoping to propagate a few baby plants before trying to get one to climb on the Large GrowPole.

The original plant was grown from a single leaf. It grew much bigger with our GrowBag, substrate and fertilizer system. We'll be talking about our substrate in future videos! Subscribe so you don't miss it!

Beautiful plant. But that's a lot of coco chips. I feel there will be root rot

    • @thiccly

That is a sentiment we had when we first started growing! We'll make a video about our substrate and why we don't get root rot and how to eliminate it in a future video. Our entire collection is grown on that mix. We've had 1 incidence of root rot because we accidentally included some sphagnum moss that the plant was propagated in. Subscribe so you don't miss out!

    Question.
The long root you got off the first cutting. What did you do with it ?
Did you cut it back or right off when you planted it.
I have plants that have that long a root . An plan on putting it on a pole. Just dont know what im to do with the long roots.

Usually we stuff the root into the GrowBag or the GrowPole. The top cut seems to be doing well with its long root. The mid cut however had a very woody root. When we put it into the GrowBag I think it got "crimped" and basically couldn't get nutrients from the stem and the root died. The mid cut itself is alive but no signs of any root growth so far.

With this setup, do you have to water the plant every day ?

we don't have to, but we use the misters daily to reduce the variances in condition as we get unpredictable heat waves in Singapore

ohhh the eay hes using thay scalpel is so cringe.
man, use straigh razor blades, like used in replacable straight razors for shaving. theyre long, thin, and very sharp, and have a backing for ridgidity. look like longer versions of utility single edge razors.

Your brand name is very bad. Looks and sounds like all of the countless bootleg knockoff brands found on Amazon. I have a few of your moss poles and they’re not my favorite either.
