Awesome video, very informative, thank you! If I buy the day skipass does it cover cable car from Medeu to Shymbulak or I have to buy round trip cable car as well?
Skipass is only valid for the ski slopes at Shymbulak and does not cover the cable car to/from Medeu. Thus, both need to be bought if you are looking to ski.
Hey Great video . I have few doubts here. Am planning to take my 5 year old kid for the resort . do we hire instructors after going to combi 1 , or can we book the session online ?Please let me kmow. also where was the stay ? is it good to book stay at the skii resort or travel there , i want to get my kid to do 3 days for training . Thanks for video and please let me know the info
Hi, thanks! We are glad our video was of help. 1. Take the Gondola ticket (2-way) + Ski Pass from the Medeu Gondola Station. Once you get off the gondola at Shymbulak, you can hire the instructor at the Ski school in the building to the left once you get off the Gondola.
2. Staying in the city is recommended for most for cost reason and variety of eating options. Commute to Shymbulak is an easy 30-min Taxi or 45-min Bus ride. But if you are after a bit more grandeur or want to cut out the commute for some reason then you can certainly explore options at the Ski resort (which certainly will be a bit heavier on the pocket).
3. If you are a small family (2-4 people), you can checkout this cosy homestay that we stayed in. It in the heart of the city with a super host: ua-cam.com/video/5wFtW8AWWH0/v-deo.html

@ so what kind of cable car ticket I need to buy to access ski slopes? Combi 1 or combi 2?
Is it going to be your first-time skiing or are you a seasoned skier?
@ I'm at intermediate level
Then you shud go for Combi 1 or Combi 2 ticket. If I remember correctly, the price difference wasn't much.
when was this? When did you visit for the skiing?
This was in February
