was listening to this when i got the call that mt dad passed away and while i was very sad and crying the line "it's alright, just look beside you" brought me some comfort. RIP dad, i love you and will always remember you.
Sorry about your loss, I lost my brother as well. Thankfully it seems this song has brought us together in our healing process. Keep moving soldier even if it hurts 💚
It's modern, has a retro psychedelic feel, it's catchy, pop, mystical, ethereal, most importantly it takes you somewhere else and that is exactly what art should be. Well done Blood Cultures !
I was grooving to this song for the first time as I got the call that my grandma had passed away.... and as I listened to it a bit more, I understood what a peaceful melancholy death can be. Watching this video, I have the chills. Thank you Blood Cultures for capturing that moment perfectly. This music is so beautiful and I want nothing better than to sit here until 3am with your albums on repeat.
This song and the video make me miss my older bro...he got run over walking the night roads last June....I miss him with all my heart and soul no one knows why he was walking so far out in the country alone
Music can patch up broken bones & guts & hearts & I am oh so sorry 4 that loss of yr own flesh & family. What music does to make a bond out of the busted & how I adore Blood Cultures. Kinda creeps me out how this song & others by them intoxicates me unlike a dude or a drug ever...
I’m sorry for your loss, I know it’s not easy. I’ve been dealing with the loss of my older brother as well. Hopefully this song helped you on your healing journey, and best of luck to you out there.
He hears his voice, won’t look in the attic Turns the dial, can’t see through the static Shadows from the moon as it waxes Things go dark then he starts to panic It’s alright just look inside you Its alright just look around you Oh jaani oh jaani You’ve thrust this upon me Have you not looked in your soul You swear when you tell me Your guns for defending I’m not here to take your home Minds won’t change, we don’t speak the language Excuse us while we pardon attacks with Consumerist-like preoccupation Close your eyes for the good of the nation It’s alright just look inside you Its alright just look around you Oh jaani oh jaani Enlist in your army Relinquish all your control You’re scared and you’re crying Want to see us dying But that’s what they want you to know
Thanks 4 lyrics. Yet, like listening to Slowdive or My Bloody Valentine's Loveless for over 30(!!!) years, BC lyrics still mystify me~ maybe honey, it's meant to be that way?
Love how it’s a freestyle Edit: this is one of the most amazing songs and videos I’ve ever seen/listened to. Captures allot of very different and raw emotions. Find a balance! May we all find some kind of peace in this universe while living and dead!
I don't know I've seen any video break 500 likes before some bot dislikes it. But this one deserves to be the one; this whole release has been, touching.
What I would give to see my own loved one one last time. She was taken away too early before her time. This video made me cry happy sad tears. Thank you.... I haven't properly grieved for the loss since, until this video.
Everything about this is where im at. I don't leave my room most days to avoid going out and being haunted by the ghosts of what once was. The memories or laughter and pain.
@veronicahoel9617 I've laughed now, it's not the same laughter, but that only solidifies the unique quality of loving someone. Thank you for your kind words♡
Thanks to all musicians for making life better! I know from my own experience that life can get tough, but if you listen to good songs you can get through it and keep going. Made some playlists for many moments in life. Come listen to them and leave me your opinion. I'm getting started. Thanks!
I get the feeling the main girl is mourning the loss of her best friend as if she died while in reality she’s the one who is dead... but because she is conscious and aware, it feels all the same she is that much more alone and isolated because of the barrier of death She takes what resembles an ayahuasca trip/vision quest when she drinks from the blue cup and because she already died, she unlocks memories and sees visions of her life and what it felt like to be alive instead of seeing and experiencing what she would see and feel during death ;( It doesn’t add up tho how the helmet was in the field as if there was an accident but there is no motorcycle or other vehicle in site. I guess the main character drove out to the field and sat on the ground where her friend died and because her friend died, it felt like she was already dead herself This video would have been a trip if it followed my interpretation but.... still tho, it could work if you want!! Ive learned to love ambiguous videos like this because it allows me to form and believe the story I want imagine being dead and still living a life similar to this but everyone from your life who Is still alive is essentially dead TO YOU because you will never be able to see them ever again for who knows how long... so, you mourn the same way a living person would It makes sense since even tho the 2nd girl is apparently “dead” she actually does normal things in the video like brush her teeth and read books and pick flowers while the main girl is absolutely living in her own world and doing anything but normal things besides strolling with a ghost to a temple to meet another ghost
It’s actually a girl That would be really interesting since I view people and all living things in a similar way We’re all individual beings powered and connected by the same force and energy of electricity altogether we could be creating and animating one being, in the same way our own bodies are animated In that case we could be cells Our bodies are like maps of the universe Similar to how trillions of cells or forms of life make up the human body, the same can be said about the entire universe it’s always growing and evolving like we do individually and as a whole What’s even trippier about actual cells and microscopic life is that like ghosts or invisible aliens or deities they verge on the 4th dimension of reality and even tho we can’t see them they are there and they are alive with their own set of functions and agendas that are creating and making up everything around us in reality and we have evidence they exist unlike every other potential explanation of “invisible life” but I wouldn’t doubt there are other forms of intelligent life we can’t comprehend that could seem invisible but in reality are microscopic
Also similar to the video I’ve actually had a dream where I was convinced I died in my sleep and I was in the afterlife it looked no different from this existence except it had a sepia tone rainbow tint and glimmer everywhere I looked I was aware there were people in this world but everyone I knew and loved was gone and nowhere in sight I broke down and cried in my dream while looking around wondering where I actually was and how I was there but once I was lucid enough and aware, I realized I was either dead or inside a dream in that moment all I wanted was to be alive again And then the next day I had an actual near death experience from fainting and not being able to breathe from a panic attack I felt similar feelings and thoughts I had in my dream and it felt like an eerie sign I’ve embraced life and it’s precious fragile state that much more because of moments like that. it feels so similar to what I’ve gathered from the video. Essentially I’ve experienced the barrier of death in another world like this where in reality I was living with ghosts
I need BC's CD's for my driving pleasure. Entrance me while road ragers rage on & signs pass overhead. All stands still when I listen to you BC! Thank u for making such dreamy sounds, you've helped me thru some wicked f*ckery
Blood Culture's are enthralling & entrancing & delicious as I bop down the street keeping a wobbly beat in my unsteady flesh. Music, BC's keeps me afloat, keeps me tethered from the substitute substances...
Can someone please explain the view/subscriber count of this channel to me? The depth and detail this project has gone into is completely astounding. The narrative/website/music video experience would be noteworthy even if the music was shite, which, it just so happens, it so isn't. It is our duty to share Luno and BC with the world.
Judging from the way you speak... & the type of music you listen to (BC is fucken schweets)... You are an intellectual, or, a least, Someone who enjoys their mind to be stimulated rather than numbed. Unfortunately, our society is very mind numbing. Movies. Music. Art. Food.Ya get the idea.
what a beautiful film. the scooter reveal cracked me up at the beginning, then by the end of the video I was sobbing. blood cultures is the exact artist I wish I was.
The ad I got before this video said, "I believe it is the artist's responsibility to lead the audience into hell." And, well, if that's true, then I'm a sinner baby.
Ahead of your time. Leave this here. Leave all your music on this planet for us and it will get recognition as more and more people become able to understand and entertain it. it's a lighthouse. i encourage you to keep it up so long as it comes naturally. in other words, don't force it. please continue this music journey if you feel deep inside you still have much to contribute. thanks for all the beauty and truth you've added here.
heard it playing out of some restaurant's speakers late in the night in the middle of my city. the streets empty, everything closed, and just this song playing. thx shazam and random restaurant for the discovery!

Shadows from the moon as it waxes
Things go dark then he starts to panic
It’s alright just look inside you
Its alright just look around you
Oh jaani oh jaani
You’ve thrust this upon me
Have you not looked in your soul
You swear when you tell me
Your guns for defending
I’m not here to take your home
Minds won’t change, we don’t speak the

Excuse us while we pardon attacks with
Consumerist-like preoccupation
Close your eyes for the good of the nation
It’s alright just look inside you

imagine being dead and still living a life similar to this but everyone from your life who Is still alive is essentially dead TO YOU because you will never be able to see them ever again for who knows how long...
so, you mourn the same way a living person would
It makes sense since even tho the 2nd girl is apparently “dead” she actually does normal things in the video like brush her teeth and read books and pick flowers while the main girl is absolutely living in her own world and doing anything but normal things besides strolling with a ghost to a temple to meet another ghost
I thought the so called second girl was a guy; I even thought they might both be representations of the same self, or two selfs from the same cell.
It’s actually a girl
That would be really interesting since I view people and all living things in a similar way
We’re all individual beings powered and connected by the same force and energy of electricity
altogether we could be creating and animating one being, in the same way our own bodies are animated
In that case we could be cells
Our bodies are like maps of the universe
Similar to how trillions of cells or forms of life make up the human body, the same can be said about the entire universe
it’s always growing and evolving like we do individually and as a whole
What’s even trippier about actual cells and microscopic life is that like ghosts or invisible aliens or deities they verge on the 4th dimension of reality and even tho we can’t see them they are there and they are alive with their own set of functions and agendas that are creating and making up everything around us in reality
and we have evidence they exist unlike every other potential explanation of “invisible life”
but I wouldn’t doubt there are other forms of intelligent life we can’t comprehend that could seem invisible but in reality are
microscopic
Also similar to the video
I’ve actually had a dream where I was convinced I died in my sleep and I was in the afterlife
it looked no different from this existence except it had a sepia tone rainbow tint and glimmer everywhere I looked
I was aware there were people in this world but everyone I knew and loved was gone and nowhere in sight
I broke down and cried in my dream while looking around wondering where I actually was and how I was there but once I was lucid enough and aware, I realized I was either dead or inside a dream
in that moment all I wanted was to be alive again
And then the next day I had an actual near death experience from fainting and not being able to breathe from a panic attack
I felt similar feelings and thoughts I had in my dream and it felt like an eerie sign
I’ve embraced life and it’s precious fragile state that much more because of moments like that.
it feels so similar to what I’ve gathered from the video.
Essentially I’ve experienced the barrier of death in another world like this where in reality I was living with ghosts
