Lovely vlogmas videos. 💕All the best for your back's recovery.I can empathise in having the same issues arising.Though mine came in later life via feet issues, then knee causing the back to get out of alignment in.OUCH!
Even this far back your children regardless of having ASD show a great predisposition in their capacity for social engagement and lovely dispositions that you've obviously nurtured well. That's a huge asset in practical terms in them being able to be minded once you'd resume a study & a career when Charlotte goes to school.
You made the best choice regarding William's school. It's likely it may fit Charlotte too. The reality is wether the kids remain in the ASD school or William moves to a mainstream school you'll most likely need to choose from other good caring private schools. My neuro typical bright grandson( with recent ADHD diagnosed) attends one of the best in caring and education private schools(in regional VIC) who create a supportive respectful inclusive settings where a child like William would be treated well by peers.Their kids are made open to being supportive and seeing the positives another child has despite differences and do this. That school ensures their classmates are switched on in understanding and welcoming any new kid from overseas or whatever. It's likely you would have some similar ones to access.
I'm only mentioning your working again eventually because it's most likely you will remain paying private school fees for both kids long term. Wether the ASD schools or other private schools. Costly, but worth it. My son saw both positive traits in his son and a potential for being to attracted to the "bogan" and distractibility that he knew this kid was best kept out of the company of public or even local Catholic schools. He was right as this kid is excellent through his school and lovely peers. Public schools while fine in educational programs, just aren't funded that well and have other kids with issues to deal with. Nor can they keep all kids from being inclined to be rejecting of some peers past the earliest grade.
I do suspect you are already aware of what I added as my thoughts and don't find it presumptious of me to mention these well meant views

Hi Brigitte, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had back and knee troubles! My dad suffers with terrible knee problems as well.
I do not find you presumptuous at all, it is in fact our very plan. Once the kids are through early interventions and settled into school I would like to be able to go back to work. However until both of the kids are settled and I am able to find a flexible job I will continue to be a SAHM. Hopefully it won’t be too far in the future as yes private schools are very $$$ and yes we have looked into all of those things. Hope you are keeping safe and well down in VIC, have a lovely Christmas with your family xx
