I agree that it is rather vanilla but for some reason when I see them on the road in either white or black they look really nice. I think silver and gray washes the exterior out.
Dave I'm surprised I didn't see any snow in your neighbourhood. We have a foot here in the Niagara area of Ontario. Cheers from a viewer here in Canada.
Personally, I prefer the new design of the Rogue over the older one (which Nissan still sells btw as the "Rogue Select"). The new one that you're looking at has a little bit of curves on the side around the front wheels, and the headlights now have LED DRL bars around them. I like the taillight design too. "Vanilla"? Maybe, but I can't really think of anything that really stands out in that class and at that price point.
keri ellerbe I reserve my camera stick for "Just Arrived" videos only... I use my tripod and professional wireless microphone for my detailed reviews. I appreciate the nice comments. I'll keep producing these "Just Arrived" videos :-)
Are you able to comment on the ride quality? Such as cabin noise level while cruising on the highway? How much wind/road noise should I expect? Does the suspension dampen rough pavement well? Does the suspension make any suspension noise over harsh pavement? Any creaks from the dashboard?
Good review ~ could you please talk about the differences between the Rogue and the Murano once you have reviewed the Murano? Also, could you talk about the differences in the cargo area between the Rogue and Murano? The Rogue looks really nice!
You drove in one of these with Melissa at dirt fish last year remember? I was looking at buying one of these and stumbled on the video recently. You said it was rough off road.
I had to look it up myself and found that same video :-) Those Mudfest/Dirtfish drives are great for first impressions but THIS test will be much more thorough -Dave
Test drove the 2015 Nissan Rogue a few months back. Was completely out of the running after testing anything else. The cloth on the seats is some weird cheap fabric that's reminds me of 90's American cars. Its hard to explain how it feels so cheap. The switches on the doors feel like they were recycled from a Daewoo. The interior space was nice and the dash and dash controls seemed to be nice. Nissan seemed to try and focus on focal points like the dash and went way cheap on areas they thought you would pay less attention to. The power hatch is nice but I question it's longevity. If it were to crap out however, the mechanism is built into the strut instead of the body and trim. I think it could be replaced with regular struts if you didn't want to she'll out the dough for the power unit. Third row is a gimic. The rear shelf system is a good idea but I question it's longevity as well. Then there is the driving. You know, the most important part! This thing is sooooooooooooooo underpowered and the cut makes it worse. Once moving your good for constant speed. But try and pass someone at 35 going up a slight incline and you will be very unhappy. Everything we tested, while not the vest themselves, was way better than the Rogue. If you drive really slow than maybe this is for you, but don't expect to have any acceleration when needed. From a dead stop, floored, I was not keeping up with merging on ramp traffic. It was a resilient hell no on the Rogue. If they put in a much more powerful engine as an option. I would go back and consider it due to interior space. Oh, one more thing..... They arrange the rear seats in this elevated stadium style, which is not horrible but kind of weird. Now, it's ok with out a sunroof, but with the sunroof you feel way to high and the roof seems too low nor such a rather spacious vehicle for the size. Good luck. I see more value and better build in the Rav4 and the CRV even though the CRV feels like it's made for women.
cgcgundersen The watch is a Timex Ironman ONE GPS+. You can load it with music and listen thru Bluetooth headphones. You can also send and receive text messages! People can track you online in real time during running workouts too!!!!
Hey man, this one is SV model, so no leather seat option on them. Nissan doesn't even offer leather on SV. Do you have any insight on the third row seat? I am not sure why they don't have offer third row seat on SL model.

Great video as always. I always like these first impressions before the road test.
Mathieu Pinette good to hear, me too.

Most has melted but it's still kind of cold - Dave

I think it's time to make a change with the song playing in the background. Nice review.
MRACPD Alpha That's a compliment because that means you're watching most if not ALL of my videos :-) I'll change it up a bit, thank you - Dave

Is this Rouge is the same as the 2015 Nissan Xtrail we have in the Philippines?

It's not top of the line? Can you name the place that gives you the cars? Thanks 😄
Very cool watch... Which timex is it?
Great review by the way...

PROSPER NASUWA This weekend I'll be going off-road :-) Video will be uploaded in a few weeks though - Dave
Time out. What kind of watch are you wearing?

Two questions:
1. How was the fruit punch?
2. Is that watch big enough?
Does the manufacturer give car reviewers the volume seller or is it random?
Anthony Cuda I don't know what the methodology is.
By "headquarters" do you mean your neighborhood?
yep

2:52 did he say "trash control"?
I thin so
*think
It doesn't come with memory seats!!!!
rogues seem too small to have a third row.
Weak on the freeways / highways, useless 3rd row. Consider reliable so far.
Headquarters.....lulz
Nissan sucks, BMW all the way baby!
