- That Time Peyton Manning Threw 7 Touchdowns in A Game. Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning eviscerated Joe Flacco & the Baltimore Ravens in 2013 and tied an illustrious NFL passing record when he tossed seven TD’s to Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, Julius Thomas, & Andre Caldwell.

Wow! He had almost half of the amount of touchdowns in one game than Russel had in one season
I know I spelt his name wrong idc cry about it
🤣🤣🤣
Crazy how Wilson beat them in the Super Bowl that year too
Too soon! Your gunna make our boy Perna cry!
@@ccselmo9363 How cute… it’s some idiot who thinks Russell Wilson is good! 🤣
Brandon, thank you. My dad passed away the day of the Tebow loss to the Pats the year before the loss to the Ravens. He was a die hard Broncos fan and his parents had held season tix from the team’s inception until the move to Invesco. I happen to live in Baltimore, and I gathered with local friends to watch the Rahim fiasco. Literally lost friends that day and my then in-laws (typical Ravens fans) were relentless. I was having a complex emotional day hoping for a redemption of the Tebow/Pats loss still grieving my dad’s passing the year before. So the season opener in ‘13 was kind of massive for me, and this reminded me of that redemption. That said, it’s 10 years later, and I gotta get outta Bmore as bad as Lamar wants to.
This needs a GoFundMe to help you get out of Bmore. ;-)
Typical ravens fans sorry for your loss brother losing a father is one of the hardest things to go through it's like losing Superman. Hope you know how proud of you he is
give this man a pinned comment Perna!
Brandon I CANNOT get enough of you going balls deep into these men
Heeeeeyyyyoooooo!
Best way to wash the memory of that awful divisional game out our mouths. Coldest game I ever experienced. My feet were numb until I was in the car. My heart was numb until this game.
Peyton was insane that year. My favorite bronco of all time.
I wish Superbowl went different into different directions to cap off amazing season
He's a Colt
he retired a bronco, and chose to do so. the colts offered him a 1 day contract and he declined@@ericv9802
Rest in paradise Demaryius Thomas & Ronnie Hillman both are at peace now 🙏🕊️
This was such a great game. I took a flyer on Thomas at TE because "he's got Peyton." You can imagine my straight up delight as I racked up the value. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
The Manning Era was a very rare and exciting one for Denver. Nobody thought the old man would come back and be able to throw past 5 yards, let alone 7 TDs, and lead a team to 2 SuperBowl appearances, and 1 SuperBowl title. I miss those days
Half thought he would, half thought he wouldn't. Who's "nobody" for you? ESPN?
Manning's a legend. 'Nuff said.
As a Chiefs fan that was one of Peyton Manning's greatest games to watch
I preferred the one where Manning was benched after 4 interceptions.
That is the same game he broke the then passing record, he was awful in 2015
@@TheWackyWiggles yeah that's a great one also
@@scruffd0g193 I mean he was playing with a torn quad since the last few games of 2014
I know I'll get grief, but Peyton is the GOAT 🐐 for me. The most intelligent QB ever
The true goat.
Id love to see a recap of the Peyton v romo shoot out from 2013. that was a crushing loss as a cowboys fan but an amazing game
Agreed.
I'm a colts fan and this one I'm drawing a blank on go figure right stupid colts fans lol refresh my memory what was big play or plays ? Lol I'll look it up
@@42calking53 honestly when I saw the headline i thought he was referncing that romo vs peyton game. I dont remember how many touchdowns he threw but it was an amazing game
Underrated aspect of this game from a Ravens fan. Despite losing the two unquestionable leaders of the defense, Torrey Smith had come out and said our defense was better than last year’s. That made me optimistic for that season and this game took all of that optimism away. At least we beat you when it mattered.
The superbowl that year made me forget all about that game
I was at that game. It was epic!!
Couldn't believe it happened and I was there live
Rest in paradise Thomas and Hillman 🧡💙🧡💙
I knew he’d put on a show to get revenge for the 2012 playoff loss but never expected 7 TD passes.
I was so happy. I knew he’d get the Single Season Record after that.
@William Clogston Nick Foles did it that same season as the Eagles beat the Raiders.
Brady did it in 2007 at Miami but on the 7th td Randy Moss was out of bounds lol
so....he didnt do it @@broderickcrawford8110
Thank you Mr. Perna, great vid.... Peyton doesn't get enough recognition for his INDIVIDUAL achievements as a QB. He has Brady beat in so many categories, but all people seem to focus on his rings, which is a TEAM accomplishment.
Rip Flash hillman and DT 🙌🏽 watching this brought back good memories loved this game
That’s good video, Perna!
No memes, even as someone who isn't a Broncos fan, I can't deny they were fun to watch during the Manning era
And the Denver Post, (I think) said "Elway Throws 7 TD passes" the next day and ended up on Cmon Man
Watching those highlights of Demaryius and Ronnie made me tear up. I miss those guys so much and I’m so grateful for everything that they did for me and so many other fans. Rest in peace to both of them❤
Always make good videos of game breakdowns hope you do more of these. Great editing as well
Reqlly enjoy these type of videos. Thanks for the great work.
That was an amazing game only legends can achieve that. They killed the ravens that day.
Broncos fan in enemy territory (MO) missing the good ol days
I drafted him and Damaryius Thomas in fantasy that year and this was the Thursday night kickoff season opener. Needless to say, it was an awesome start to the fantasy season.
I was at this game, it was amazing. I also had Peyton and Julius on my fantasy team this year!
As a Broncos fan I remember that game like it was yesterday, revenge was sweet. As a fantasy team it was even better, I had Manning and Thomas on my team. Icing on the cake. RIP Demaryius.
A feat worthy of Al Bundy himself.
RIP Ronnie and DT
Julius Thomas was huge in those 2 years
Great memories during these football seasons. The year of the greatest offense was my first year playing fantasy and I had Demariyus Thomas.
You should do a balls deep on these Peyton Manning Broncos teams!
And Bountygate!!!
I still play Madden 17 and Hillman will always have a roster spot in my franchise
Almost 10 years ago🤯 time flies
Nick Foles also had a 7 TD game that season.Sad thing for Peyton is the very next season he started out extremely hot.I think he got hurt during the Saints game that year.Had some kind of inner thigh injury and would never be what he was again. That season he ended second in TD passes(39).If he was never hurt he would have finished 1st.He was 1 behind……Colts qb Andrew Luck(40) who would go to later eliminate Peyton from the playoffs
Go balls deep in the Bears' 2018 Season, it was truly magical, the Matt Nagy play design was amazing that year, he had many homage plays to the Bears past, he won Coach of the Year, Trubisky had great moments, the defense was literally winning games by scoring, and it ended with the double doink
Also, you can speculate a lot, if the bears had won the Miami game (in which many players dehydrated) or closed the game in GB they'd have been the no. 2 seed and history would be wildy different
Haha denver was upset seeing such an elite Qb like Flacco on a banner in their town.😂
I remember watching this game live and talking with my buddy (a raiders fan) and calling Peyton our football savior 😂
This game was legendary!!! I wanted him to throw for 8 so damn bad lol
Your friend must've been REALLY sick when Nick Foles dropped 7 TDs on them in their own house. I wonder if there were any other 5+ TD games that season outside of Foles and Manning. 2013 Eagles vs Broncos would've been a hell of a show IMHO
Edit: I stand corrected: they DID play this year, and the Eagles got smashed 52 - 20. I'm pretty sure Vick was playing that game and dealing with old age + injuries
As a broncos fan. Let me just say. I need more videos like this!!
Looking back on DT he was such a game changer his highlight reel is crazy and i hope we can get another wr as dominant as him
That Giants - Saints shootout was a fun one and should be always remembered
Another crazy game to recap? How about my favorite: the Tim Tebow playoff victory against Pittsburgh 😃😃 🤙🏻
Matt flynn lasted longer than a lot of 1rd qbs in his time and even now days. Rosen and manziel to name a couple
Love the tribute at the end. Needed that. RIP to those great men
That year with the Ravens was something special Ray Lewis retired and that defending Super Bowl defense wasn't quite the same without him back there. Still no excuse for the standard expected from the Ravens defense at the time but certainly a contributing factor. And that follow up year for Denver was just magical, it's a real shame the way it ended though.
Good video. Crazy game. Love and respect to DT and RH.
As a ravens fan, we knew 2013 was going to be a bit of a drop off given all the talent that vanished that offseason, but to go on the road to play a revenge game against one of the best teams in the league when it's supposed to be a home game to celebrate the start of the season was really rough. Baseball games get moved all the time for weather, but I guess moving one of literal hundreds of games played by a franchise that was tanking is too much to ask.
Just waiting for the video on Brady's five touchdowns in a single quarter.
In 2009 Brady tossed five TDs in the second quarter against the Titans, played one drive in the third quarter where he threw his sixth, then the Patriots pulled their starters early in the third. The way that game was going, the Patriots could've probably won 105-0 but Belichick is just an asshole, not a monster.
Manning had more than half the amount of passing TDs in this game than Chef Russ cooked up under Hackett.
13:19 Mitch Trubisky also threw 6 TDs in a game during the one good season he had in 2018, against the Bucs. So Mitch Trubisky = Tom Brady confirmed!
8:12 that ball touched the ground shout out to 2013 for not looking again lol
I can accept this Opening Day loss with respect cos before that game we were the LAST team to win it all.
Peyton had an unbelievable season that year though.
Had an amazing year! Unfortunately for Denver the LOB was facing him in the SB
The last guy, before Peyton, to throw 7 TDs in a game, Joe Kapp had only 40 total career TDs.
He had 17% of his total career passing touchdowns in a single game. That's wild.
"How he got the answers to that drug test ahead of time... we'll never know."
As a ravens fan, y'all can have this game. Superbowl 47 was perfection.
Remember that time Russel Wilson only threw over 2 touchdown passes twice all season 🔥🔥
as a ravens fan i fully blame this loss on the fact that this game shouldve been in baltimore since we won the superbowl but the Orioles didnt want to share a parking lot being robbed of a home gaame the Ravens defense went on strike
I always enjoy hearing people talk about how great Peyton Manning was. Seems like some only bring up his playoff record, or his 2015 season, as if he wasn't an all time great.
I love when you talk about the real goat
I was watching it from the basement in over the Rhine Cincinnati
OTR TO COLLEGE HILL.....WHO DEY!
I was there section 525 row 19 seat 17. Never could forget that MILE HIGH MAGIC that was in the air that amazing evening. GO BRONCOS! 6+6+6=18 HAIL PEYTON!
seven! seven touchdowns! ah-ah-ahhhh
Watched that game live on tv. Good times
Mahomes just had the greatest season of all time perna. Only qb to lead the league passing yards, TD’s, win MVP, Super Bowl, and of course SB MVP. That said, Manning had the second best season of all time.
What a day it was. What a revenge!
Eric decker was the best draft bargain in fantasy football for about 5 years straight.
I remember I was on a cruise, they had the game in the top deck at the ESPN bar, a buddy and me said alright let’s take a tequila shot every time Peyton throws a TD, 7 later we were feeling it 😅
So many great gems 💎 in this one 😂. Love it
I picked up Julius Thomas before this game. I was so set for the season lol
Little did Peyton knew, he would fall to the Legion of Boom in the Super Bowl.
I was so jealous of the broncos back then. Go Chiefs
That first clip was definitely a concussion lol he smacked his head sooo hard
You should do some throwbacks to the actual mile high, like how TD got his 2000+ rushing yards, or the high wind afc championship game against the yets. Yets, not jets. Or even Champs pick of the flawless playoff Brady, kickstarting the Broncos Patriots playoff battle.
You should do the Bears@Cardinals ‘06 Monday night game. Inspiring the Denni Green rant
I feel like that Nick Foles 7 TD game isn't talked about enough.
I'm an Eagles fan and honestly I get it. Peyton's was first and he was the first to do it in 40 years. He also beat the defending SB champions and a solid Ravens team that ultimately went 8-8. The Eagles beat a Raiders team that had went 4-12 the previous season and 4-12 that season, only weeks after Peyton's game.
The only other thing to really say with Foles is he could've likely broken the record with 8 or 9 as he was benched in the 4th. But it was a midseason and non-conference match so there was no point.
@@jarvindriftwood yeah they were a bad team but you didn't see anyone else throw 7 TDs against them.
Memmmmm-ries, misty football colored memories, of when Denver scored TDs!
I always watch every video all the way through (except ad) and like before I even watch. I hope this helps ease the pain of my chiefs punishment of your broncos. You are the most likable bronco ever, even including John Elway's sexual prowess.
As a ravens fan , this one hurt lol
But good revenge game from the sheriff
It hurt all the way til the superbowl 😂
I was lucky enough to meet that team at the scrimmage that year I miss those days
Thats almost as impressive as Al Bundy scoring 4 rushing touchdowns in a single game in high school
This game sounds a lot like a Big 12 game the only difference would be that in a Big 12 game both teams would have 7 passing touchdowns or more each.
Don’t remind me of Julius Thomas. I drafted him too… but dropped him before week 1 because of a bogus article that said TE1 would be someone else during Mannings first year in Denver. 😢
I miss the good ol' days when the Broncos could score
You should cover Rams vs Chiefs the highest scoring Monday night football game
As a Raiders fan the broncos can suck it but Payton manning is a football god.
I could have sworn manning had a 1 yard rushing TD that game too
Ravens love being #1 in the highest QB payment
Could you do a deep dive into the games where Derrick Thomas recorded 7 sacks, Perna?
And two months later, Nick Foles would throw 7 TDs in a game, proving anyone can throw 7 TDs.
Nick Foles > Tom Brady
Reminds me of when football was you know...football.
"Broncos fans were . . . forced to drive past a fifty-foot tribute to the man who had ended their season not long ago." Rahim Moore?
I remember that day very well cause Payton was my QB on fantasy lol
You should do The Pick at the Stick!! 49ers vs Falcons! Always known for blowing it last minute!!
Oh hey I was at this game!
As a die hard Broncos and Ghostbusters fan, the use of the elevator scene was absolutely poetic. 7:18
I was going against him AND Demaryius that week in fantasy.
That was a horrific drop by welker that was not a catch on that 3rd down 8:10
The real 🐐
