You might be interested to know that oranges will grow in the snow in sunken greenhouses with buried tubes for circulating the even temperatures air. It works in Nebraska so I bet if you just added some good thermal mass you could also achieve it there. Check out greenhouseinthesnow.com if interested! This is not a sponsored link or anything I just thought you all might be able to sell fresh oranges or just enjoy locally picked fresh tropical fruit in the upper north!
Thank's David. It was great meeting you for the interview and we really appreciate your accuracy in telling the story. All the best! Kelly & Audrey Taylor-Faye
I would love to see more of this type. However, our GOV & local GOV won't stand for it. You have to build according to code even if you're not going to use it. A lady in Florida was fined & nearly lost her home because she went off grid in one of the towns. We're I live I would have to spend a ton on meeting city building codes & the power company won't pay me for any excess power generated. So if we could get our GOV to get out of the way things would develop.
The people that started this village had no idea what they were doing. They picked a community in the heart of Monsanto country. Most of the farmers in the area grow for Monsanto, so many people in the area have cancer and they are heavily chemtrailed. They were most interested in populating the area then they were about safety.

Wonderful creative, resilient, and independent people.
I wish I knew this sooner. What you guys are lacking is a community garden and orchard

I hear you! It's the same here where I live and that's why I have a decided to make a move to an area where I can be off the grid. :-)
This is amazing stuff.
I'd like to see and live like this in Southern Alberta.
AGREED!
Yes please!
Can a person still get cheap land in that area or surrounding areas ?
Alberta winters are more than enough for me. I wouldn't survive over there. I love what they're doing though.
Do you still have land for sale????
Great.. But Sponsorship by Shell Oil?! REALLY?! *FACEPALM* Talk about conflicted...

And the video is sponsored by Shell.
