He came, he sawed, he conquered.
That's exactly what famed illusionist Steve Wyrick did after being approached by the Fox Sports 1 network to be the first-ever celebrity performer in the 17-year existence of The Annual Miss Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant. For the event, which was held and filmed for TV in the famed The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Wyrick created a completely original illusion involving multimedia and video technology that took sawing a woman in half to new technological levels, proving that his magic is truly a cut above the rest.
"I cut a woman in half with a chainsaw and pulled her torso off the table and onto a Snap-On toolbox," the magician explains. "Then I took her legs and put them on a pallet jack. Both parts were rolled downstage. For the first time ever in magic, I had an audience volunteer examine the body parts. Audrina Patridge, who was one of the celebrity judges, came up and after examining the parts, freaked out. She screamed, 'They're real!'
"Still the most challenging part of the event for me, being single, was being backstage with 60 gorgeous women running around in tiny bikinis and trying to keep my focus on getting ready to perform," he adds, smiling.
This was the first time Wyrick performed at The Joint, home to such musical icons as Paul McCartney, Axel Rose, Vince Neil and many more. Besides Patridge, celebrity judges included NFL legend Terrell Owens, UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, Cynthia Bailey, Jay Williams, Lance Smith, Lt. Colonel Jason Amerine, and Susie Castillo.

the sad part is this trick despite so many variations is easy to understand and the magic died for it years ago.

At the end you see at the left back corner her entering the box (white shirt) again. Most is hidden by the girl sitting there but still you can see (a bit).

@@blakskeleton There was no flaw only a gltch that can only happen with positive and negative me ( Vice Vera negative to positive energy) mind consuming assumption into somethingh greater than great . The (any) performance practically gos off without a hitch ! And there was one noone that should have noticed it . I thank God that I saw something in a statement that didn't fit the sqript ? Nothing is going to distract me from staying focused and surprized so I can move on to the next one and not dwelll on any perseaved notions that that may or may not have been intentional .otherwise I may have enter a rat race. I'm just mad cause they copyrighted the close to 3 hour magic show soon as I wached the whole thing at least several times got this sixth sense and was able to move it to my safe house and left them my decoy ! Just in the nick of time ! I found out they left my decoy with red numbers n letters studio 14 I guess they new it two cause they didn't delete my copy they froze it though at least for now untill I set a timer to format it and write all over it so there's ability no trace left unleess it can't be moved like the rest were I will figure it out soon,!

Great trick, some things to improve : remove the screens.... remove the cloth change and reflect the specators interaction on feet... work on presentation is really bad, like no acting at all it's just hey look at me I'm doing a cool trick...
its sad that a lot of "magic reveal" videos have gone out including this trick. Its unfortunate that such act is not that interesting thing anymore than before especially during my younger years. Hope there will be more new tricks to awe someday.
That was that masked magician exposing magician's secrets whose explanation was, "it's time for magicians to come up with new stuff", which was his explanation for why he did it...supposedly.
Does somebody have some kind of theory for this illusion because I really don't know what they did there! I really want to know it!

I know I am 4 years too late but here is how it is most likely done
the first girl, the one you see the upper half of, when she gets in the box she is in fact kneeling down not laying flat, on some sort of sliding platform she including her legs which are folded under her are pulled to the tool box, there could possibly be an identical twin, or someone who looks very close to explain the quick change at the end
The legs are most likely another girl who was already in the box, except instead of hiding her bottom half it is her top half that is hidden, when the first girl is moved on to the tool box her lower half also moves to the tool box
legs girl is carried to the palet truck, which as it has a palet sitting on the truck rather than on the prongs as they are designed to be used, so there is space to conceal her head and torso.

I can explain the changing but not the sawing in half. the two screens are keeping the picture when the man cleans it but the other two ladies keep he top up then she takes her first set of clothes off and then gets back down then for the big reveal it's fake
Benjamin Wilson The illusion is not done exactly the same way you think it is. There’s too many edits and cutaways. So so it’s all speculation you have to be there to see the entire illusion to be impressed this is a video of a life performance you want to see magic go pay to see what could be more impressed live the Niewood watching a edited video
Benjamin Wilson How was another girl going to fit in that really small 4 inch space take a 4 inch board and measure a soft along it see if you could actually fit inside it it doesn’t make any sense people just hate magic
If you're looking close at the legs you could see that only one part is moving , there's a woman under it and the other part is a doll's and the saw is not real, the machine isn't really sawing, and there were two women there. Every One with a different part of body that you could see.

Easy. Two contortionists, and the video screens are diversions. The first girl is shown laying flat, but really is sitting down in the slider and bending double. The second girl, whose face is never seen (and whose feet need some serious tickling!!!), is already bent double in the pallet, and the pallet is carefully carried in such a way that the bottom side is never seen by camera or audience.
Also, at 3:51 you can see an assistant helping her change into the Hooters outfit.
Stephen Eddy First of all there’s too many edits and too many cutaways to see the full illusion so everyone can make speculations because they went there there was too many cutaways you have to be there to be more impressed live magic shows are better than watch it on videos
