u guys really need to do better lol. less than a minute in you have totally ignored Openai's 01 model thats availible with plus. if its isnt included in the comparison then the experiment is already ridiculous
@SeanTube2099 Exactly, although he could, I don't think any of the prompts are complex enough to use as a comparison. o1's reasoning is different than Chat GPT 4o and the Current Gemini Advanced model. I kinda agree with the reviewer Slight edge to Chat GPT 4o but it's just about neck and neck. I think Gemini definitely has an edge in daily use and ease of use from my experience Gemini has been good enough especially with extensions.
@@cj212121yeah but you dont use AI for general stuff but its best and shines when optimized for specific tasks. Model specialisation is the future. Not general AI.
As a ChatGPT Plus sub, what I'm waiting for to switch to Gemini Advanced is a way to add custom instructions that get applied to all new chats by default, as well as a persistent memory feature like ChatGPT has. Then I will switch and enjoy that massive 2TB of cloud storage as an added bonus.
@Selvane23 Sort of, but as far as I could tell, there's no way to use a particular gem by default for all new chats or to use the same custom instructions for every gem or even if you're not using a gem. With ChatGPT Plus, I gave it custom instructions about which types of information I casually bring up in all chats that I want it to store in its persistent memory. I want it to be completely passive and automatic.
ChatGPT by a mile. I’m a big Google fan, but Gemini, while pretty intelligent, can’t even remember your name. And ChatGPT’s creativity is ahead by miles. I wanted Gemini to be ahead, but hands down ChatGPT is more intelligent, creative and can remember things from past conversations and will reference to it if the conversation goes to that direction. ChatGPT wins hands down. I use both, but lately seeing myself using ChatGPT more because of the personalized interaction and conversations, not to mention their capabilities of reasoning (chain of thought). Sorry, but ChatGPT is the most intelligent LLM so far and far ahead of the pack. If OpenAI decides to start making and selling their own smart phones, tablets, watches and other devices, I have no doubt in my mind they will give Google and Apple a run for their money.
Hard same. Been rooting for Gemini to catch up for a while now - I use android everywhere and system-wide integration is a big hit - but gemini simply can't beat gpt in absolutely anything. Paid both to compare. Gemini has even decided to be annoying and bullet point EVERYTHING. Gpt is FAR ahead when it comes to "natural" language. I ditched gemini a month ago. Tried to come back. Same old. The only advantage of it is doing what Google Assistant (!) was already able to do: set reminders, create events and turn lights on.
I use both and it depends Gemini I hated when it came out but now for creative image generation I love it . Chat gpt has always blown my mind how well it understands context
I used both and Gemini image generation is outstanding and GPT has always astonished me how well it understands complex concepts and how it can do mock interviews both will provide great Innovation
"Great breakdown!, I’ve been diving deep into the differences between GPT and Gemini too, and I noticed some fascinating distinctions in performance, particularly around real-time accuracy and advanced contextual understanding. I actually did a side-by-side comparison in my latest video, where I tested both models on a few unique tasks. It was eye-opening to see where each one shines! If anyone’s interested in exploring this topic further, feel free to check it out.
Update: This video was pointless 😂. - Imagen 3 is definitely on par if not better than Dall E - Gemini's extensions are really good Gemini is held back it's strict limitations and key features that the others have. The key features being Claude's Artifacts, and Chat GPT's memory feature, and those things are what makes me stick with Chat GPT. Gemini not being able to hold context from previous chats is big. Otherwise is competent for most people and is advancing fast
@@kamillastarr Not necessarily, or maybe my prompts aren't correct, or maybe something changed. It can't search the web or websites unlike Chat GPT which uses its search extension. Results tend to be outdated, unless corrected, which ( for me ) shows that it heavily favors its trained data vs comparing the trained data to real time results. I believe this is why people use Perplexity, so I might try it
I use both and in my experience Gemini is generally better in general researching and writing. Specially because it can browse online and give you links (even on the free version). However Chatgpt is much much better in logic, any logic thinking based thing, math, programming or technical knowledge chatgpt is better.

That’s not even half a comparison. You said it yourself, ChatGPT plus gives you access to multiple models which are good in various ways so comparing with ChatGPT plus overall is like comparing apples with all vegetables. It’s totally different and too vague. You didn’t even include all the models it offers. Used to be a fan of you guys but I think you’re going downhill recently.
Personally, I don't see how anyone would opt to use a Google Service. Google's core is marketing. Every Google product and service is a means to feed the marketing machine. Even for Gemini's Advanced service, that you pay for, Google will use your personal data for marketing. Their privacy policy clearly states they will use every bit of data they collect, to include location data. There is no scenario where I would have my e-mail, call history, AI questions, preferences, or any other personal data going through Google services. I would encourage everyone to fully understand how your personal data is being used and make privacy the most important feature. And yes....I know I am using a Google service to even share this comment.
Sorry but your tests are too simple to actually test the level of intelligence, ask them to great and a maintain a todo list while giving complex input like emails et image to figure out if they can put that Into a task , or get infos from a csv stock list where he needs to analyse the companies by himself

Gemini advanced is pretty good, the fact I get a huge amount of Gdrive storage with it sold it to me.
That was the most pointless test I've ever seen.

That model isn’t designed for general purpose use.
@SeanTube2099 I see what you're saying but having used the model its not nearly as niche as you make it seem. Often provides better results than 4o
@SeanTube2099 it performs BEST at certain specialized areas but it's still competitive across the board for the basics

It helps them pretend that Google it never collects user information unless you run it locally.

Gemini can answer your questions from youtube lectures/videos with Timestamp!! How crazy is that. ChatGPT lacks this skill afaik
