Spot on. I removed my name from a short list of possible persons to take a top job in a new mill when the company I worked for said they were considering mandating the pokey poke. I was shocked that in the meeting nobody was standing up to say anything when given the opportunity. I stood up and spoke my mind. I scolded them and said I would not allow them to subject me to any type of experiment and that they were put of their minds if they thought they had any say on the matter. The next day I removed my name from the list as I was not going to move across the country for this new position only to be mandated the next time and be fired. They lost any loyalty I had when they said they had been considering a mandate.

Luckily, my "child" stood up and fought the juice through exemption. Obviously was denied at each level through chain of command. June of '22 after final denia,l was asked the first time and denied, strike one. Then the judge ruled in a lawsuit thus putting a stay on the mandate then in December they dropped it. Soooo, two years later still in and awaiting the completion of "term".
Kept this comment as OPSEC as I could 😉 by letting you know there are more good ones "IN" than you believe.
I pray you are correct and believe you might be however, the higher up you go, the less "good ones" you'll find and they are calling the shots.
When I joined up, I had intentions of doing 20 years. That changed after I started seeing the BS. I saw several others prior to me get out because of the same BS. The sad thing is, a lot of it stemmed from one person and a useless command.

Geeze. I though Air Assault school was rather easy. Now grant it, I was at the pinnacle of my physical fitness. I had been training to go to Ranger School on the off chance my Battalion Commander would grant me school request after winning battalion soldier of the month multiple times. M-F, I would run 3 miles with a 42lb ruck @ 5am.
Hi. My son served. We come from a long line of military service. I'm a military brat. My father spent 20 years in the AF from mechanics to spy. I learned to love my country but not trust my government.
In 1999 my son joined the Army. He was thrilled, proud to be able to protect family, home and country. I tried to warn him that they would use him but what could I possibly know compared to a newbie 18 yo. He came home disillusioned. I asked why. He never really said anything other then he hated them their all liars. I feel bad. He's a good man but still proud to be an American.
Exactly my story. I joined in 99 and came home with the firm stance of, "Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see"
