I didn't know SCGS had a 'smart' reputation haha - in what I suppose people would call 'high SES circles', SCGS girls are known to be rich but pretty dumb, like ACS boys! Basically kids who stay in town area and benefit from the proximity + affiliation, but didn't do well enough to get into the other schools in town like RGS. Many people's parents also buy them houses in the area so they can get into SCGS or ACS, otherwise they'd only be able to get into neighbourhood schools.
