- Onam in Kerala is more than just eating Sadhya. It's an experience to remember forever! Kamiya Jani went to Kumarakom CGH Earth's Coconut Lagoon Resort to celebrate the most famous and biggest festival of Kerala, Onam.
Our celebration started with watching Pullikali Dance, followed by enjoying the Thiruvathira Dance. We then headed to try the traditional Sadhya Spread. I must say that Onam is not just a state festival, it is a symphony that rings through the heart of every Keralite across the globe. We truly enjoyed the celebration and it was a surreal and enriching experience.

I felt like this had been totally a different experience for me to watch your another video in which our state Kerala is in the backdrop Mrs. Curly. As you said in the video , though Indian states are seen entirely different as if they are not part of a country because of its diversity in culture. I believe that that diversity is our strength as well. Moreover, this difference makes us all get united. I feel that this brought Mrs. Curly all the way from north to south of India. Thanks for your eloquent words of our Kerala and reiterating it as "Gods own country" among your viewers.

Kerala Kasavu sarees, are symbolic of Kerala's tradition and culture which is a soft, white or off-white, handloom cotton cloth with gold-threaded borders.The term kasavu refers to the zari (gold thread) used in the border of the Kerala saree. The name comes from a material used in the weaving and production of these sarees. When the kasavu gets added to a mundu (dhoti), it’s called a kasavu mundu.
The origin of the kasavu saree can be traced back to various centuries where women would wear a two-piece cloth called ‘settu mundu’, more popularly known as ‘mundum neriyathum’. The Mundum Neriyathum rose in popularity during the Buddhist era, and its design has been inspired by the Greco-Roman attire, Palmyrene, a long piece of unstitched cloth with a coloured border. Traditional attires like sarees, mundus, and settu mundus are generally called kaithari which means handloom. The identity of the saree comes from the geographical cluster they are associated with. The Indian government has identified three clusters in Kerala - Balaramapuram, Chendamangalam and Kuthampully - that have been given a Geographical Indication (GI) tag. All three clusters produce kasavu sarees.
@@dayanandparapurath4590 Saree is not a traditional dress of kerala women. Raja ravi varmas painting of Marathi women brought saree culture to kerala. In kerala every women wore just a neriyathu and mundu not even blouse. Kerala women and koorgu women had same dress code. Saree was adopated after queen of travancore adopted it first after Varmas painting. The white color is inflenced by mundu and neriyathu. Please learn history'

Incredible, Most Beautiful, Natural, Full of Peace & HAPPINESS to name a few amongst the Goodness of one and only Kumarakom. I am in LOVE❤. Yesterday only, I was planning to visit Kerala and one of my friends Shri Balan from Kerala advised me to must visit KUMARAKOM in my next Holidays with family alongwith Cochin and Munnar in a 7 days Trip during coming Summer Vacation.
