Some super thick stuff. I have it for my 1 acre lot in a subdivision and it’s great. Took 3 batteries to get my weeds in shape. Edging included in that. Now it takes just 1 to maintain everything every week. I have the 18v line up btw
Good video. I got the ryobi 40v brushkess and it refers it to 40240. It was loaded with the cord with the wire and I wore that out in no time. Guess I need to load some 095 cord. I used the low setting and it edged and trimmed around the house ok but in my back yard some husky weeds grew. I used my 5 year old echo gas for that and there is no comparison at all. It showed the ryobi the door and I sure wonder if I should keep this $200 convenience. I certainly liked no pulling the cord, but the echo fired in 2 pulls. You showed me that using the hi power would do a better job - I need to try that. Thanks.
Awesome review. I’m on the fence which expand-it model to go with : 18v brushless, 40v brushed or 40v brushless. My drill is dewalt but can’t justify their landscape tools cost ($$$ vs ryobi). Don’t have anything for ryobi yet and I have a small 1/10th acre (2000 sqft) suburban lawn area. Main factor which which battery platform will be most durable and best long term investment. Overheating and stressing batteries worried me the most. (better to have 5x 18v4ah batteries or 40v4ah & 40v6ah)
Is the shaft longer than in the brushed trimmer? I have back problems and bending down to mow with a trimmer makes me quit long before the battery dies.
with a 4ah battery fully drained it took about 4 hours to charge using the included kit charger model number op404 . they do sale a quick charger the OP406A that is supposed to charge a battery's in less then a hour but its way to expensive costing 119$ plus fast charging will wear out a battery faster.
I just bought the one that has the sciorated blade and it came with piece you needed to install ...my question have u gotten it yet so i can....this fine print and instructions are no good

I have not sorry
Mine started smoking mid battery smh waste of money
Step 1, take off the guard. It works so much better!!
Super heavy! Weight distribution is awful.
Way too heavy & the battery is a joke, can't even hit 52 minutes & then have to wait 3 hrs to charge
Hard 3 cuts and the engine overheats is useless pure propaganda
Jammin the weedeater into the brush is not the right technique. This was difficult to watch.🫣😕
