    Danny Carey is perfection personified!
I love how he became the focal point (frontman, if you will) of Tool. They’re all beasts in their own right, but I’ll be god damned if they’re not looking to that dude for guidance.
That’s always been my favorite thing about these guys: they’re all doing separate things that compliment what their brothers are doing and it blends in the ear beautifully.
When Adam and Justin were facing Danny, awaiting their respective cues, I got goosebumps. They know what they’re doing and they know what comes next, but, again, they’re looking to Danny to make sure shit doesn’t go sideways (I’ve Tool a lot - 13-14 times - and I’ve seen them shit the bed, but I’d bet money that Danny Carey never missed a beat... literally and figuratively, and he pulled it back together.)
It may not make sense to us right outta the gate, but if you give it enough listens to get it, it’s otherworldly.
    Shout out to Meshuggah! 😉
