I can’t help but wonder if philosophy will simply die when these guys are gone. Either it will die or be radically transformed. But it’s hard to see just where this field is actually going and who will discuss these matters when they are gone. We seem to live in a world with very different concerns and I don’t imagine that These theories will hold the interest of future generations. The really interesting fields happen to be ones that have already been taken up by other areas of study, so the philosopher will have to either come from other fields or study other fields in order to have a broader sense of relevance. It has the marks of A fragmenting discipline or an interdisciplinary discipline that does many things but nothing in particular extremely well of much consequence.
they are long gone and are still influential on generations of philosophers. Im gen z and they are my role models in philosophy, and I think the way they did philosophy is still the way to do it. People keep pronouncing analytic philosophy dead, but I'm a living proof its alive, and I can show you some examples its also very well.
It's like Richard Rorty is 50 Cent and these guys are G-Unit.
Big guns.

bro they've been dead for years
@@alecsiantonas6520 And yet our man still can't help but wonder. A philosophical puzzle in itself.
