Thanks for the review and exposing me to Alpaka. I ended up getting the Elements Tech Brief Pro. It holds work day gear, laptop, workout gear (minimalist shoes, flip flops, shirt and shorts), lunch box (1.5" deep), Miir coffee/water bottle and tech pouch. I swap out the workout gear and lunchbox when traveling with the laptop charger. I love the 3 carry modes, handle and sling when wearing a suit and backpack and sling with casual wear.
This is a great review! I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of researching backpacks and briefs that are convertible, slim and still carry all that I need. I think this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thanks!
My use case is slightly different from a lot of people's so I'd like to share it: I work in education as a TA and most of my job has me moving from classroom to classroom to assist kiddos. My (free with purchase) Cotopaxi todo, although beautiful and effective at carrying everything I need, gets saggy and unwieldy and everything falls to the bottom of it, making it hard to grab what I'm trying to get. I do have one class that I teach but I specifically wanted a bag just for moving from room to room with laptop and pens/anything else I find is useful to bring to motivate my learners (stickers mostly). I wanted something hyper slim that I can keep comfortably on my person all day if there's no space in a classroom for me to set it down (a common issue). I also bought a modular sling for the strap of the bag specifically to wear around the classroom as I walk around if I do not have pockets (women's clothing is annoying like that). My makeup kit for work is just for touchups (concealer and sample sizes of the other stuff), and that will fit great in a small makeup pouch that I can move from back to bag, and the rest of my tiny edc will move from my large Cotopaxi organizer (I'm usually more of a maximalist who casually enjoys edc) to a smaller one that, again, is removable. I have a small tool set, bandaids, a "refresher kit" of deodorant, toner, and hand sanitizer. If I have to grade anything, thats what packable bags or shopping totes are for, or I'll bring my larger popflex duffel and use this case more as a laptop sleeve. Im so excited for it to arrive. Thanks for turning me on to this brand and I hope other femme leaning folk/none business field folk share their use cases as well. One thing I am not sure I'll like is the orange interior. But the durability makes that easy to ignore.
I've seen a lot of comments/reviews on their website saying that the 14" isn't really big enough even for the 13 ro 14" laptops and people wish they would have gone to the 16" for more space. Is the one you're using the 16"? I'm looking for something to tone down a little from my Vertx Deadletter Sling
I got the 14" and should have gone for the 16"...the bag is great, but a tad small...my new Mac Book Air fits OK, but when you start to put things inside, it immediately feels...I don't know, cramped, uncomfortable...a bit disappointed...
I assumed that for the lightweight commuter, with only a MacBook air and charger, it's a good choice. But if you still need to bring another things, better go with the 16".
Would you have a couple of recommendations for backpacks? I use a 12.9” iPad Pro, and carry a fair share of stuff, but it seems like backpacks are either HUGE or just sleeves. Looking for something thin & minimal.
Sorry I am curious to know what type of external drive you have that looks so nice and small but I’m sure stores some good data. Thank you for the info in advance 😊
Alpaka got all the right features, but sorry to say. They are not intuitive. A very simple example is the modular system they have in the backpacks. Once you have all that latches, it is exfre, ely difficult for you to get hthings in and out of your bag. I would recommend evergoods, patagonia, or aer instead.
Does anyone have any experience with this bag regarding other laptops other than the macbook 16? Im interested in getting this but i fear my laptop wont fit (Asus TUF). The dimensions are quite similar to the macbook 16 albeit thicker, and one review i saw pointed out that the macbook 16 was quite a tight fit which is why i wanted to make sure

@@Guilty_Feet so how is the bag after testing it for over a year?
Do they not make this bag anymore? The one on their site seems different
Is this no longer available? I can only see their "Pro" version
I have the green variant with backpack harness. It wears really nice and looks fantastic. I really love the neat and compact form factor.
I don't see the bag on website
Bag is cool…but what is super cool is the edit of this video!
Editing is A+ 👌🏻
…have they stopped making this bag :(
I can’t find it on their site anymore
Excellent review. Appreciate your surgical details. I'll be back to leverage your reviews!
lol
This looked fantastic but it appears they got rid of the high vis orange interior and that was kind of why I wanted it.
I find that handle is in a weird position even though it’s supposed to also double up for a luggage pass through
Thanks for the tip, i need a new bag.
where is the link to the item!?!? its not in ur list of links.

Pls info for 15,6"" laptop.
@mauricemoves what are those MacBook/air covers you have on the top of your laptops? I think I saw a green one on the air in another video. Thanks
Love your channel! Like to see a link for your hat please ;)
Great review! Pity I got the 14" one...very small...
Thanks for shearing

Thank you for the info in advance 😊
a bit late but if you still wanna know it's the sandisk extreme portable. i think it comes in up to 2TB configurations :)
What is the name of the bag?
Can it fit a small lunch box?
Hello! Great video! Does your discount code still work?
Can this be converted into a backpack? I like to carry on both shoulders because I have a bad back
They sell a bundle with backpack straps as an ad on
14 or 16 ????
MacBook Pro 13in 2015 / 2016 model. Will the 14 in be too small??
Definitely! I have a 14" one and when you start putting things inside, it immediately feels cramped!! Go for the 16"!

Thanks for turning me on to this brand! Just grabbed a bag and lanyard using your code.
Oh Man why does the shipping cost so much to México? 😞😞
I'm considering buying this bag and there's no shipping to Mexico for me at the moment.
i dont think is a carry handle hahaha it a luggage attachment.
Maurice~ wha'tup.Yeah,insane job~🤞
07:12 S-Biner AGAIN??? Seriously?
Looks like this bag doesn't exist anymore. :(
Yes the replacement is bulky compared to this. Bummer cuz I would love to have one
Orange interior is ugly
Nice review, but all the “but” and “that’s what she said” jokes make your video lose credibility
