I’m so glad that however it came about that she was NOT asked about her mother and all the other family dynamics, that she was spared that pain! Thank you Stephen Colbert!!

@@pattiebee9703 It’s professionalism! There are times when we have to wear two faces. She’s grieving; she just knows that you don’t bring your problems to work. You do what you have to do at work, and then you cry your tears at home, because she can’t grieve without the press photographing her. She’s a strong and wise woman!
Riley has been blessed with a wonderful pillow to emotionally fall on: Her work, husband, family and friends!
She’s like every other person returning to work after the death of someone close to you. You just have to get on with it.
I’m glad she wasn’t asked any questions about all that as well, she did good…..people don’t be judgmental of her……

I was actually an extra filming with her at the beach in Greece on her birthday when it was announced to the cast and crew that she had won the award! Everybody was cheering, she was so happy! They also brought her out a birthday cake and and it was such a great moment! She was very sweet all of the days we were filming!

We all of us must try to support her in the fight against her grandmother, she has so much going on the loss of her mom and brother, her work, the new baby, not knowing if she'll get to see them again, I just pray it doesn't send her over the top poor kid, I'm sure her mom ,elvis and her brother are sending lots of spiritual help,god bless you Riley keough, aww I forgot to say her husband and her lovely dad xxxxxxxx
She has so much grace and composure a month and a half after losing her mother. I remember when my mother died and the grief process only a month and a half out was so raw. Much respect for Riley, for showing up, present and upbeat. My thoughts continue to be with her and her family.

@@pamelarose9712 I was distraught for a couple months (Mom died in first part of February 30 yrs ago) and I ended up having to go to grief counseling later in the year. I had to hit the ground running at work soon after Mom died and put on a professional face. It was so hard each day when I would get home from work. I see Riley is the same age when losing her mother as I was when my mother died. I wish her all the best in her grief process. My heart goes out to her.

@@juliasharon5337 it is still a short time. Benchmark dates like birthdays and holidays etc are still occurring as the first after losing your mother. A new rhythm settles in gradually. Thinking of you and may you have kind and understanding support when you need it.
Same I just hit the one year mark and struggle daily and cry so easily .
Some people just ouze kindness and sincerity and she is one of them.

She lost her mother and her brother, i can't imagine how much pain she's going through especially that she's promoting her new series one and a half month after her mother's passing. She said that she's doing good in this interview but inside her heart, you can tell that she's still heartbroken on her mom's passing. Stay strong Riley ♥

She’ll be fine. And she knows this is her one shot. She’s 33…which, whilst it shouldn’t be, is old for an actress starting out in Hollywood. This show has to work.

@Colin Neil Vernon um that's a stretch. She is comfortable but the Presleys never hit billionaire status. And regardless of what her bank statement says, her mother died less than two months ago. Suddenly. That pain does not just go away. And she is being strong and fulfilling her professional obligations - does not mean it is at all easy for her. Learn some compassion.
@@toddpinkstonisgod There is a difference between acting in, and starring in. The GFE was one season and then continued on without her for season 2 and 3. Her film roles have been supporting roles. If you walked down the street and asked people who Riley Keough was most people wouldn’t know, and a large percentage of those who did would only know because of the Elvis connection.
This is the first time that a show is being marketed off the back of her name. That’s why she is everywhere on every show. They need to get people to know her. It has to work otherwise it’ll be very hard for her to come back from.
On the other hand, she has shown herself to be an exceptionally talented director and producer, and I suspect that is where her long term future actually is!

I know by the fact that people knew her more as Elvis' granddaughter but I wish people would give her more credit as an actress. Zola, The Devil All The Time, Under The Silver Lake, The Guilty, Earthquake Bird, Logan Lucky, It Comes At Night, Lovesong, The Runaways and of course Mad Max Fury Road, she's great in just about everything I've seen her in. She's super talented and I can't wait to see Daisy Jones and The Six just for her

She lost her mom and her brother, it's best to just not talk about her mother's passing for now. Losing a parent could take their child like weeks or months to process it so it's best to just don't bring up her mom. Even during Lisa Marie's funeral, her husband was the one who read the note that she made for her mom
The word is that a condition of the interviews is no questions about her Mom's death and no questions about her legal dispute with Priscilla.

I think she's marvelous and so much of the genes in her from, well the Presleys. I don't blame her for not mentioning her mother, somethings deserve privacy. I love that she was honest about it and said she really actually had to work very hard to be a singer. But her band camp she went to did her some good because those songs are bangers. Currently “let me down easy” is my favorite.

I could sense Stephen was feeling "open" and genuine. She recently lost her mother and her brother before that...she seems like a sweet person and strong too--I would not be able to cope being in public and sharing.
I hope she continues producing, and directing, even when she is not acting. And protect her from those, whom are not serving her, but themselves.

I lost my mom three months ago 😢. It probably is too much for her to talk about it. Glad she can have a career without the influences of famous parents and grandparents. She's definitely not a nepo baby.

This is not about her grandfather, her mother or anyone except herself. She is a accomplished mother, wife, director, and actress and should only be recognized at just that.
