@@WM_Nonsenseno that was Tina wasn’t it? or did they work on it together in the restaurant? if that’s true then that means Tina and Gene make the best music together.
0:50 “His electric junk” is a very cleverly written love. Gene was supposed to have written the song and he’s always making unintended double entendres. It fits the song and it fits with Gene’s character.
Brantley Cooper the only reason I feel this song is the best is because I can sing both Mr Fischoder and Gails part pretty well in their respective voices
I thought that they put Topsy in as a joke, but then I looked up if Topsy the elephant was really electrocuted by Thomas Edison. And apparently it is true. This is your hero Dinkler!!!
Seriously, this song and this episode was what MADE this show for me. I liked the earlier seasons, but Topsy in my mind was what pushed it from being good TV to GREAT TV!
3 Things... 1: I love this song 2: Now i know what the background chorus is singing 3: This song has given me hope that the people with the most annoying voices can sing if they want to (Referring to Gayle and her amazing part in this Musical Re-imagi-nact-ament) 4: I'm rebel
I love the Bob's Burgers songs that incorporate lots of voices: the main singers but also a background chorus. This and, "Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom," are my favorites.
TheBaggadonuts I love how this show points that out. Cause in other shows it makes no sense how something like that would happen. Makes it even funnier.
If they were to cancel, it'd have been after the first few episodes. Bob's Burgers is one of those rare miracles to survive the Fox animation apocalypse over the last few years. I'm content if the show does end after its ninth season though. It's been great having a part of my high school and college years last this long, and be something that almost everyone has heard of.
If they cancel anything it should be Family Guy. I love the show but they have been coasting into The Simpsons territory with the quality going down the last few years. Hell, even Seth is surprised it's still being renewed every year. God forbid he ends it himself.
The important thing is they took out the bits where they're actually talking OVER the singing which is always the annoying thing about songs on tv shows.
This song made me interested in the show. I still remember poking my head through the living room door and saw the credits playing and because I heard my mum laughing, I asked her what was going on,and she could hardly speak because of laughter. While this wasn't the first episode I ever watched (it was Full Bars) I still think it is how my love grew for it. My fav song in the series! 😍👍
Imagine telling someone in 2017 people would still be bopping to a song from a Fox cartoon where Kevin Kline and Megan Mullay sing about a relationship between Thomas Edison and the elephant he executed with electricity
The company who produces Netflix. Since people are starting to stray away from Netflix, companies are removing their shows from it to put them on Hulu or other streaming services

What’s it that Piano bit playing before the chorus called because I have heard it before for basic background music for dancing and I was wondering what it was called.
It is and it isn't. While it's true (and sad) the elephant Topsy was electrocuted to death in front of a crowd of people, Thomas Edison didn't have a hand in his death. The AC vs. DC wars were over by the time Topsy was killed, and Edison wasn't electrocuting animals to demonstrate the "dangers" of AC current at that time (which he WAS doing during the wars).
Why is no one talking about how gene literally wrote this? He’s a musical genius
Also with the “You’ve got the guts musical” he’s a musical genius

I dunno. "I wanna hear your secrets" "Bad Things Happen In The Bathroom" and the cover of Gravy Boat are pretty amazing.

One day I’ll figure out how to sing like him… I haven’t put any effort in and I probably won’t in the near future, but one day…
I absolutely love this show, and this is one of the best episodes of the series. And it's kind of educational (I didn't know about Topsy).

Meghan Mullally is involved in two of the most iconic songs on the show. Oil spill & Electric love.

The funny thing is that Megan Mullaly (Gayle) is actually an accomplished Broadway musical actress.
Yeah. The voice actress of "gayle" voiced in burlesque for kristin bell and it was super sexy. She is really a great singer.
I specifically came to see
what the background chorus was saying. 😆
You should check out the songs that Megan Mullally (Gayle) sings in Sofia the First.

Lavendar Dawn I know right, when the episodes stopped coming, I almost cried
if it ain't man on elephant love it ain't worth singing about
