I feel like this is what Paul was actually striving for but needed this collaboration. It's brilliant. ❤️
They've reduced to a triplet of chants and thus put in the same Universe as "I Feel Love".
I'm torn about the vocal treatment... I would have vocoded Paul BUT half the sentiment here is the honest expression of a middle aged man who knows damn well his voice as instrument has moved millions and isn't what it used to be.
Brilliant. I was half expecting Paul to burst into Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" in those last 60 seconds 😂

Fabulously Absolute! Kinda “Hello Spaceboy” meets Giorgio Moroder. Delicious vocals by Neil Tennant and killer synthesizers by Chris Lowe. Only Pet Shop Boys can do it and Paul Weller nailed it.

Yes it seems a Hello Space Boys’ kind of , but it hey created a absolute voyage to the Cosmic Fringes
It has 3 or 4 movements in all the remix
It’s a travel through the events in the space
The Neil Voice gives the sweetness on this Remix
I understood what they wanted to do with this remix
I wish, since few years ago, Neil would sing an octave lower.... Sorry. Love PSB too much and I can imagine many vocals in a lower octave and sounding much much better.

@@luciaramirez6855 Neil's pitch has been getting higher along the years. You can listen to Before in Moscow Live in 1998,and the tracks gets even better in that pitch (an octave lower).

I haven't bought the last 3 or 4 albums due to personal issues but this track is fantastic.
His last 5 albums have been as good as, if not better than, anything he’s done, in my opinion.
I stopped buying Paul's albums after he cancelled a L.A. gig for political reasons back in the -- I think it was the early aughties. Nothing like showing up for a gig dressed up to find a closed venue and a paper sign on the door.
I think a lot of songs on the last few albums have been a bit lame. I’m not usually impressed when artists go “dancey”. It’s usually better left to the experts.

It's crazy to think the original is under 2 and a half minutes in length.
A 12 minute remix seems a bit long. I wonder what the thought process was by PSB when they were asked to do a remix.
Maybe something like this...
Record Label (to PSB): We'd like for you to do a remix of Paul's new 2 1/2 minute track.
Chris: I've got this 12 minute piece running in my mind right now. Challenge accepted.
Neil: And, I can add some vocals.
Check THE DISCO MIX of Left to my own devices. It clocks around 11minutes or more.
They know how to do it. Wish they could have done a dub without vocals :D

To talk about the Modfather and the psb in the same breath is insulting! You only have to look at Paul's back catalogue. His imagination and adaptability is why I love music.

Doesn't improve the original in any way but a great remix by PSB's. Glad all the DJ's snapped up the vinyl copies before I spent my hard earned on it.
