This is one of favorite english rule, when ever i am writing receive always remember my secondary school teacher who taught us I before E and i always smile 😊❤❤ And thanks to you coach for your video which are always helpful 👍 . From Nigeria 🇳🇬
I've tried looking for a clip that teaches this rule correctly and I can't find one for love nor money, and this one is incorrect too. I guess I'll have to make one myself.
Thanks . Your video is very helpful. I got a question for i before e except after c. The word ' die' 'diet‘ 'lie' 'tie''tied' are i before e but their ie sound doesn't rhyme with long e, seems not follow the rule, Ate these exceptional case? Thanks anyway.
Sad note about myself... When I was at sixth grade, I despised English so much that I was the only kid in class that failed a test in that subject... 30 points out of full mark... All other children to the last weakest of them got full mark of 100 percents... I was the only one who failed miserably for my hate to English and the method of teaching it... It was painful to feel it and I hide my test well from all others so they would not figure out and ridicule me after they find out I was not smart as I presented to be until then... Anyway, out of school it is more that you write because it is fun, and does not suffer such humiliation of making so much mistakes... I could just make a typo, but whatever, I just want to enjoy and express my ideas... More than you might learn something at school, you might find it is more of suffering than education if you end up with others in class as well as teachers you despise...
Horrible rule. Over 900 words in the english language that are exception to the rule. Foreign, leisure, freight. It only applies when the "C" is involved
convoluted is what it is. it is much easier to just remember how to spell the word than to have to remember the rules for the words with "ie or ei". as a kid learning how to spell words i remembered the rule i before e except after e. now... i ignore the rule and just remember how to spell the words that i need to spell because it's much easier

What about "heir"?
A rule with so many exceptions is not a rule, it’s just a man of straw. Thanks 🙏 for the useful video, anyway.
Haha, maybe we could call it a "loose guideline" :-)

Why did you spelled the words 🤔

Horrible rule. Over 900 words in the english language that are exception to the rule. Foreign, leisure, freight. It only applies when the "C" is involved
It doesnt even apply after c, science for example
if i had to teach a foreigner english i wouldn't tell them the rule to this stupid language i would recommend just remembering how to spell the word
convoluted is what it is. it is much easier to just remember how to spell the word than to have to remember the rules for the words with "ie or ei". as a kid learning how to spell words i remembered the rule i before e except after e. now... i ignore the rule and just remember how to spell the words that i need to spell because it's much easier
This is a mess! Lol
